Chapter 15

Kendrick's P.O.V

I drove past Nicole's house after I left the studio and saw a range rover I her driveway. It was weird she never told me she bought a car. I was going to stop by, but my dad called and said I needed to find his dominoes. Story of my life.

After I finished my house assignment, I decided to text call Nicole.

"Hey babe" she answered

"Hey, I have something to ask you"

"Um, can it wait I'm catching up with-"

All I heard was laugher then the call ended.

Was she cheating on me? I mean I had no proof that it wasn't one of her friends from Malibu, since no person in Compton would ever park a Range Rover in their front yard.

I tried to go to sleep and forget about it but this was hurting me. I was going to confront her tomorrow at school.

Nicole's P.O.V

The next day I decided not to go to school. Nat and I didn't go to bed until 6:00. We were to busy laughing about shit and I really needed to pack. I had a bad feeling about not telling Kendrick, but I really wanted to surprise him.

I left for L.A at noon and arrived at 1:00. I stopped for gas, potty breaks and to grab some chips, cookies etc.

I checked in at the Ritz- Carlton Hotel. Before I went shopping I decided to go to Chick-Fil-A.

I went to several stores, and I honestly think I over did it. Luckily I had the car otherwise, I don't know how I would carry all these bags. I found the perfect outfit for tomorrow.

I headed back to the hotel to take everything out the car and put it in the room. Since it was only 5:30. I decided to take a quick dip in the pool. It was so relaxing, I really felt bad for not telling Kendrick. Hopefully, when I see him tomorrow he would be more happy than angry.

Tomorrow before the show I was going to drive up to Malibu to meet up with old friends, chat with my grandma and reminisce how live used to be living down there with my mom and sister. The days when crying was only for happy things. Luckily, I had Kendrick the only reason my smile came back. Just then something hit me. Everything in my , life was going great. Just like ho it was before my mom died. Grandma always told me remember child every hurricane has an eye (the calm part). Hopefully I was just assuming because of the past, but something is telling me my life is about to go from better to worse.
