Chapter 10

Kendrick's P.O.V

I reversed out of Nicole's house, and she looked kinda upset. Pssh, if she didn't want me to kiss her, why would she kiss me. Anyway, we're just friends. I tried to lie to myself. I reaaly like her though. She was everything i wanted in a girl and more. She was smart, funny and damn she was foine. I hoped she really saw those things in me and werent just like the other girls. Oh, just cuz Kendrick making money now, everybody wants to give him the time of day.

I went home to get my clothes. I packed like i was spending the whole summer with her. I t took much longer than expected. By the time i was finished it was 6:30. I was about to leave when i heard a knock on the door. I opened it and to my suprise i found Sherane. Don't get me wrong she was looking good, bu the only thing on my mind was getting to Nicole.

"Sherane, I would love to chat, but i really have to go somewhere."

"Oh, you going to the party Bradley's throwing. I wasn't gonna go but since it seems like you going, i guess i will come along" she said trying to throw herself one me.

"Oh, Sherane. I am already going with someone. Hmph, how bout you go with Quincy"  I said directing her out the house.

"Um, I would but i can't. Quincy got Nicki pregnant." she said.

I stopped dead in my tracks.

She laughed. "Oh, so Nicole didn't tell you"

How could Nicole really keep this away from me.

If Sherane knew, most of Compton knew. And yeah, it wasn't any of my business anyway, but i would rather learn this type of information from her instead of Sherane.

I locked the door, threw my bags in the car and started it up. As I was reversing, Sherane ran up to the car.

"Kendrick, can you drop me to the party please."

I was tired of her constant nagging, so I gave her a ride to the party.

When i was coming back i checked my watch and saw 8:45 on the clock. Shit. I promised Nicole to take her to dinner before the party. I texted her apoligzing and telling her to get dressed quickly. When I got to her house she was in high spirits and was just about to put on her makeup. It took about 25 minutes for me to get in the shower because i was arguing with her about why she shouldn't wear makeup.

It took about half an hour getting dressed. For dinner i took her to tammi's diner where she ordered a garden salad and i got a cheese burger with fries. We were threw by 10:15 and got to the party at 10:55. Perfect timing. When Nicole hoped out the car was when I saw how sexy she looked. She was going to get a grinding out of this world tonight, by the one and only, King Kendrick.
