Chapter 7

Nicole's P.O.V

I woke up with my history book across my chest. I didn't just dream that Kendrick and I did what we just did. My imagination was really traveling all over the place. Hoe embarrassing!!! I looked at my clock, it was 7:20. Shit I was running late. I quickly showered and paced my book bag. I always left my clothes for last.

I put on a grey sweater shirt, black skinny jeans and Retro 5 Bel Air Jordans. I sprayed some anti-frizz on my hair and put a headband on, leaving all my hair out. I grabbed out my iPhone and prayed Kendrick hadn't left for school. I texted him:

Text Convo

Nic: Hey Kendrick have you left for school yet

Kendrick: I slept late just heading out the door. You need a ride

Nic: Yeah I slept in late as well

Kendrick: Okay I'll be there in bout 5-7 mins.

Nic: Kay thanks a lot

Kendrick: No problem. See ya soon  

End of Convo

I grabbed my keys made to cups of coffee and grabbed two cinnamon just before Kendrick came.

I ran to the car with my bag on my back and the two coffees in my hands. I rest them in the car and went back for the buns and to lock the door. When I came to the car Kendrick was laughing with himself

"And the joke is" I said really concerned about his actions.

"i mean you must be really tired for all that sugar. Two coffees and two cinnamon buns" he said pulling out of my house driveway.

"Well that's were your wrong Mr. Duckworth"  I said.

" one is for me and the other is for you" I said putting the coffee in his cup holder and handing him the bun.

"Thank you" he said taking a bite of his bun.

We laughed and joked not caring if we got to school late. I was so comfortable with Kendrick I told him parts of my dream. We laughed so hard. my arm were all over the place that I knocked his half eaten bun out the window.

"Damn Nic was I really that serious" he said trying to sound serious.

I laughed. I handed him by bun and he just bit it. He didn't try to avoid the area where I had already bitten. He just ate the bun.

I blushed. Was he into me like I was into him. As I was daydreaming, Kendrick tapped my shoulder.

"Nicole where here"

I snapped out of it and realized we where in the schools parking lot. I checked my phone, it was 8:10 we were ten minutes late for school. Imagine if I had to walk?

I jumped out the car and Kendrick carried my bag. We were heading to the office to get late slips.

As I was walking in the principal stopped us

"Kendrick don't bother getting a slip, we understand that business calls" he said obviously trying to suck onto Kendrick.

"Thanks" Kendrick said trying not to show his true feelings.

As Kendrick and I started walking Mr. Philippe called me. Kendrick and I stopped dead in our tracks.

" Ms. Lewis I allowed Mr. Duckworth to leave, not you"

"Oh, but she's with me" Kendrick said before I walked into the office.

"Oh" was all Mr. Philippe could say.

All I could think was did Kendrick just defend me. I was obviously obsessed with this boy. But why?
