Capítulo 6
Where is she? Did something happen to her?
My pacing only got faster and faster as my heart thumped in anxiety. I checked the clock on the stand in the middle of the beds for what seemed like the millionth time since I had woken up, and groaned.
"Ali where are you? Please tell me you are safe."
The door being blasted open behind me made me shriek and hide behind the bed. But when I heard a familiar set of panting, I all but flung myself towards her direction, tears running down my face in relief.
"Thank goodness you're ok. I thought something had happened to you."
She just gulped and looked at me, hugged me back before she turned around and locked the door. With her speed, she ran to the only window right besides my bed and closed the curtains, blocking the sunlight.
"What's going on?" I whispered to her when she quickly pressed a finger against her lips. She just grabbed my bag, and then rapidly began to stuff whatever I had taken out back in. She grabbed her unopened bag, and then placed it right next to mine before she turned around with a sigh.
"We need to leave. Now."
"What? Again? But why?"
She frustratedly ran a hand through her brown locks and then looked at me. "I found my beloved."
My eyes widened and a huge smile began to appear on my face. "Isn't that great though? Why are we running?"
She shook her head and then peeked out the window, before she blocked the sun again. "It's.... complicated."
"Ali? I don't understand what you are trying to say. Why is it complicated?"
She sighed deeply, groaned, and then let her legs knock her down to the floor with a soft thud. She was looking down at the ugly red carpet as she spoke. "He's a werewolf."
I narrowed my eyes at her, even though she couldn't see me. "What? So just because he is a werewolf, you're going to run?"
She shook her head, still not looking at me. "I know him."
The confusion on my face just got bigger and I crouched down next to her. "What do you mean you know him? You are not making any sense."
She sighed again and then looked up at me. Her bottom lip trembled as she looked into my eyes before she just blurted everything out. "I know him from my childhood. I got another memory from him."
My eyes widened for the second time and I gaped at her. "Then why are you running? If he gave you a memory, then why aren't we going with him? HE KNOWS WHO YOU ARE! He can help-"
"No! No!" She shook her head and then stood up. She grabbed our bags and then picked me up with her free hand. "We have to go. I managed to escape from them, but they can still follow my scent if they are smart about it. We have been here for too long."
"Ali stop!" I shrieked as she practically dragged me towards the door. "I am tired of running! If you know him from your childhood, and you say he is your beloved, then why are we running? Shouldn't we run towards him? Shouldn't we-"
"IM AFRAID!" She exploded, making me wince as her eyes flashed to a different color. "I'm afraid of what is going to happen next. I'm afraid of knowing what my past was like....." She trailed off, not even bothering finishing her sentence.
"You have always been watching over me. But why? Why?" When she didn't answer, I just nodded in agreement. "Exactly! Because you don't know! Tatiana didn't tell you and you won't know until we find our answers with people you know! Why did-"
