Capítulo 11

"What do you mean a war against humans? What mistake?" My mom asked from the floor. She was slowly caressing Ali's back, and shook her head when my dad asked her if she wanted him to pick her up, and place her in the couch.

Tatiana took a deep breath, and sat down in the seat I had been before. She quickly patted the available space next to her, and I quietly sat down. "Everyone sit down. I'm finally going to tell you all the story of why everything is happening. Apparently, this can't wait any longer."

"I'm fine here." Was all they said at the exact same time and she chuckled.

"Whatever rocks your boat." She slowly took a few seconds to stare at each person in the room, but they stayed longer on both Ali and me. She gave me a small smile, and patted the hand that was closest to her. "Everything has been planned since you were conceived."

My eyes widened as a soft gasp escaped the lips of my mom, and a confused tone from the two men in the room. "Now, before you even start to ask questions, I knew the moment that you two did the hanky panky and conceived your three children, one of them was going to take part of the future. I had already foreseen Alice on it, and there was even a child with her, but it didn't make sense whatsoever until that day."

"Well it's still not making sense Tatiana." Dimitri spat, interrupting her and then raised an eyebrow. "Hanky panky? Are we twelve or something?"

She rolled her eyes at him. "Had hot sex. Is that any better?" There was some throat clearing and even a little bushing from me, but that didn't stop her from continuing. "Like I said, I already knew one of your children's future was going to be tied with Alice's destiny. But then again, how was Dimitri going to help you with the war? I wasn't sure how you two were going to pair up until a little birdie told me he had found his beloved."

I felt many eyes on me as I continued to stare at my hands. My fingers twirled with each passing minute, and it was silent as she let us soak this small amount of information. "Emilee was a stillborn. There was no doubt in there." My beating heart raced faster at the mention of my name. "With her being the only human in a womb full of werewolf pups, her chances of living through the birth were very low."

A soft wail brought my head up, and I saw the last few seconds of my mom burying her face in her hands as my dad wrapped his arms around her and began to soothe her. I gulped, chewed on my bottom lip, and took a quick glance at Dimitri, who was staring at me with a sad look.

"I took Alice because it was her destiny. I took Emilee because without her, you-" she stared at Dimitri, who was still staring at me, "-would have not gotten over your beloved senses, and agreed to help find them. I had to find a way to make you two cooperate with each other, even if it meant taking your loved ones."

"But why kill Ali? She was alive and then you killed her." Her horsed voice was barely above a whisper, and I quickly glanced at a still passed out Ali.

"Would you have let me take her alive?" There was silence and she snorted. "I thought so."

"So the only thing keeping Emilee alive... is you?"

Tatiana stared at me with a small twinkle in her eye and nodded. "Yes. At first, I hated it, but now I understand. Emilee is my goddaughter, and I will do anything for her."

Dimitri took a step forward, his hands balling into tight fists besides him as he glared at her. "So will it hurt her if I kill you right now?"

Tatiana quickly snapped up, and stared at him with a glint. "Harm me, and she gets the same thing. Why do you think I never let you catch or touch me? I wasn't just running because I didn't want to get caught; I was running because I was protecting both of us, but mainly her."
