Odahviing sat stressed in the study. After receiving no news from his guards, he guessed that they still hadn't found the Dragonborn. It had been two days and Odahviing was getting anxious. Knowing about your many powerful friends, for example, the campaigns, the dark brotherhood, and the vampires of Volkihar Keep. His time was running out.

To relieve some stress, he decided to go down to the dungeons. Deep down in the heart of the tall mountain was where the dark, damp, stinking dungeons laid silent for a long time – until now. The screams of the angered dragon could be heard all through the castle. Echoing off the stone walls. Alduin was chained up with a collar wrapped around his neck, stopping him from changing by weakening him every time he tried. He had been reduced to dirty rags, stained by the blood from his once smooth skin that was now covered in cuts and bruises. His dark hair shrouded his tired face as he had no way of moving it.

"Good day old friend, I hope you slept well.?"

Odahviing entered the room behind Alduin. He walked around and turned on his heals so he stood exactly in front of him. Alduin remained silent.

"Excuse Me"

He lifted Alduins head so that his mucky face was visible. Alduins breathing was slow and frail, it was barely audible. He was, however, conscious.

"you look terrible..."

He threw his face away like a piece of rubbish.

"and so, weak"

Alduin lifted his head with what energy and strength he could muster.

"Screw You"

Odahviing snapped his head back to Alduin and with one quick movement, he struck Alduin hard in the face.

"At least you still have your humour, ill make sure to break that next"

"why are you doing this?"

"why? Because I can"

Odahviing began chuckling to himself.

"you really are a twisted little snake"

"and you're an old man whose time has finally run out"

Odahviing turned away and began leaving the dungeons.

"you're the one whose times running out"

Odahviing froze, with one hand on the brass door handle, he turned his head slightly.

"what are you talking about?"

"you haven't found her yet, have you?"

"no"

Alduin began laughing loudly.

"what's so funny? I assure you I will find her and when I do I will make her scream louder than anything ever heard before"

"You won't be able to find her, you have to let her find you and trust me when she does find you. She won't be the one screaming"

Odahviing filled with worry but tried not to let it show. Instead of retaliating to Alduins statement, he left the room and stormed back up the stairs slamming the door shut behind him.

He carried on until he made it to the alchemy tower, where he had locked Nahkriin inside.

"NAHKRIIN!"

"yes"

"Use your magic to find the Dragonborn"

"I'm afraid I can't do that"

"why not?"

"because I don't want to"

"Stop being such a child!"

"but sir, you act like a child"

Odahviing had had enough and pulled out his staff. He used it to freeze Nahkriin's left hand.

"now I can defrost it or I can destroy it, it's your choice?"

Without a word, Nahkriin raised his hand and smashed it against the stone wall. Shattering the ice and his hand. Odahviing was horrified at Nahkriin's calm expression as blood dripped from the severed limb.

"I choose to be loyal to the true leader of Skyrim"

Odahviing once again nauseated left the room, slamming the door behind him. He felt defeated but he still had one other option. He left the castle in order to seek aid once again from a previous party.
