CHAPTER • 3

Miyoung entered the classroom and told her classmates to be quiet for awhile because she's going to announce something. She stood at the center, in front of her classmates.

"We have two new classmates." Miyoung started. "They're both male and the other one will start his first day tomorrow."

"What about the other one?" Lee Chan asked.

"Let me finish first, Chan." Chan just nodded at Miyoung.

"They both came from LA and both came from the same school. Maybe they were classmates there and decided to transfer here together. The new student who will start his first day tomorrow is Hong Jisoo but I don't know when the other transferee will have his first day here. As what Teacher Song told me, the other transferee hasn't passed his forms yet. So... let's just be nice to them and treat them well, okay?" Miyoung finally finished her words.

"Sure." Her classmates said in unison.

"No bullying, okay? We're big enough now." Miyoung said, sounded like a teacher.

"Fine, vice president!"

Next day. Most of the students in Teacher Song's class are excited to see the transferee especially the girls. They keep wondering how handsome that Hong Jisoo guy is, while Miyoung is being busy studying for their quiz in Mathematics later.

"It looks like the girls are really excited to see the transferee." Miyoung heard her seatmate, Vernon said but she just ignored it.

"Miyoung-ah! What about you? You're very busy there. Do you have any idea what Hong Jisoo looks like?" Vernon asked Miyoung as he hit her lightly with his elbow.

"Yeah." Miyoung answered lazily. "He has brown hair."

"Oh. How did you know?"

"Of course! Teacher Song had shown me Jisoo's profile and there's a picture of him." Miyoung answered, still focused on her notes.

"Ooh... For you, is he handsome?"

"I don't know." Miyoung shrugged. "I haven't met him once! Well, I think he is."

The class suddenly became quiet when their homeroom teacher entered their classroom with a gentleman-look handsome guy following her from behind.

Most of the girls started to giggle and mumbling with each other.

"Oh my gosh! He is so handsome."

"He's not that tall but he's my type!"

"He is so handsome! I hope he's not in a relationship."

Miyoung heard all what the girls just said. She just rolled her eyes and just waited the transferee to introduce himself properly.

"Quiet class! Mr. Hong is going to introduce himself." Teacher Song told her students, so the class did.

"Good morning everyone! My name is Hong Jisoo, you can also call me Joshua but I prefer you to call me with my English name because people used to call me with that name in America. I hope we can be all good friends!" Joshua said his introduction in English.

"Waaah! His English is very clean and hot."

"Oh my gosh! I like his voice."

"Damn. I hope I could have a boyfriend like him!"

Miyoung just furrowed her eyebrows after hearing those words from the girls.

"He's handsome but not my type..." Miyoung mumbled as she looked at Joshua from head to toe.

"Were you saying something?" Vernon asked, looking at Miyoung.

"Nothing." Miyoung shook her head.

"Hmm... It seems he's not your type because your expressions didn't change." Vernon chuckled.

"Sort of my type but he is not just handsome, he's charismatic too."

Vernon just looked at Miyoung with a smirk.

"Why are you looking at me with that face, huh? Did I say something wrong?" Miyoung asked with a confused face.

"Nah, nothing."

When it is the time when Teacher Song will assign Joshua's seat, the girls started to point on their chairs.

"Oppa! Sit here."

"Oppa! Sit beside me. I'm smart! You can copy answers from me."

"Sit here, Joshua oppa! If you sit here, I will treat you every day whatever you want."

"These girls... Really?!" Miyoung mumbled and face palmed.

"Okay! Mr. Hong, your seat is at the last row behind Jeon Miyoung. The chair beside your seat is vacant too because that's the other transferee's seat. You know each other, right?" Teacher Song said as she pointed Joshua's seat.

"The other transferee? Oh, yes. I do know him. So we will become seatmates?"

"Yes. Well, I hope that's a nice seat for you and by the way, welcome here!" Teacher Song said and smiled.

"Thanks for the warm welcome, Teacher Song. I will enjoy here at SeungRi High School." Joshua smiled and bowed.

"Oh. He said he's friends with the other transferee!" Miyoung thought.
