CHAPTER • 21

After the Jeon family had their dinner, Wonwoo told his sister to go to his bedroom because he wants to talk about something. Miyoung helped her mother first in cleaning the kitchen before she went to her brother’s room. She knocked three times on the door before Wonwoo let her in.

“What is it, Wonwoo?” Miyoung asked as she entered her brother’s room.

“Just want to ask few things.” Wonwoo smiled. “Go sit on my bed.”

Miyoung then did what his brother told her. Wonwoo sat beside her and said, “This won’t take too long. I just want to know some things.”

“Sure. Go ask me now.” Miyoung said.

“Is it true that Joshua kissed you?”
Miyoung was a bit taken aback on his brother’s question. She didn’t expect that his brother will ask about this kind of things. “Yes but he did not kiss my lips. He just kissed my cheek but it was very near on my lips. Why’d you ask anyway? And how did you know? Were you there and watching us?” She asked curiously as she looked at her brother.

“Oh, okay then. I wasn’t there but someone saw you and told me.”

“Who?” She asked curiously and furrowed her eyebrows.

“I… uhh.. I can’t tell you..” Wonwoo chuckled as he scratched his nape.

“Why not? I just want to know who it was.” Miyoung pouted.

There was a moment of silence.

“Miyoung-ah! You told me before that you will never have feelings for Joshua, right?” Wonwoo said, suddenly changing the topic.

“Uhh, yes. How many times do I have to tell you that?” Miyoung chuckled. “It will never happen that I will like Joshua. Jeonghan is the only one that I really like.”

“I know. I just want to be so sure.” Wonwoo laughed. “You’re so loyal, huh? You like him since when you were a kid.”

“Well, he’s different from the other boys. There are lots of handsome boys out there but none of them is my type.”

“Oh, is that so? By the way, what will you do if Joshua confessed that he likes you?” Miyoung gave his brother a weird look.

“I’ll say that we should just stay friends because I don’t have any feelings for him and I know that I will never have.” Miyoung answered. “Ooh, my brother keeps asking me questions about love. Are you in love?”

“No, I am not. I’m just curious about your life.” Wonwoo laughed. “But isn’t it obvious that Joshua likes you? He even kissed you.”

“So what if he likes me? I have nothing to do with it and it is not my problem if I don’t like him back.” Miyoung said as she shrugged. Wonwoo just nodded as his response.

“So, is that all are you going to ask? I’m going back to my bedroom now.”

“Sure. Thanks for your time.” Wonwoo said and chuckled as he scratched his nape.

“You’re weird.” Miyoung chuckled. “Good night, my bro!” She then left Wonwoo’s bedroom.

“Now I know that Joshua did not kiss Miyoung on the lips.” Wonwoo thought.

Next day…
On their lunch time, Joshua went to the school’s garden because Jeonghan told him this morning. When he entered the garden, he already saw Jeonghan, whose arms on his chest, sitting on the bench.

“So, what do you want to talk about?” Joshua asked as he sat beside Jeonghan.

“About my bestfriend.” Jeonghan answered, not looking at Joshua.

“What about Miyoung?” Joshua asked, furrowing his eyebrows.

“Well, it doesn’t matter to me if you want to become close friends with her, if you want to hang out with her, and if you want to know more about her but you cannot just lay your fingers on her. Watch your moves sometimes, will you? What if she will just suddenly feel uncomfortable with you? You ev—”

“What are you talking about? Why are you saying these to me? I didn’t even do something wrong with Miyoung.” Joshua said as he gave Jeonghan a confused look.

“You even stole her first kiss! What the hell, Josh?! Control your hormones! What if she hates you already for doing that and just pretending nice to you so you won’t be awkward with each other? I know that you like her but you cannot make moves just like that.” Jeonghan continued and finished his sentence, ignoring Joshua’s questions.

“Stole her first kiss?! What? Where did you get that news?” Joshua asked curiously, furrowing his eyebrows. “Is this guy insane?” He thought.

“I saw it with my two eyes. I was seeking on the window when you kissed her! That was the day when you hang out with her.”

Joshua now knows what Jeonghan is talking about. He remembered all what he did with Miyoung that day and knew that he really didn’t steal Miyoung’s first kiss. He did kiss Miyoung but not on the lips.

“I did not kiss her lips, Jeonghan. I swear! If you’re not still going to believe me, go ask her.” Joshua scoffed. “I know how much you like her, Jeonghan. But sorry, I like her too. I will do everything I can just to make her mine.” He thought.

Before Jeonghan could speak, his phone rang. Wonwoo is calling him.

“Just a moment.” He told Joshua before he answered the phone call.

“Hello, Wonwoo?”

“Jeonghan, where are you? I have something to tell you.”

“What is it? Just tell me. I’m kind of busy.”

“Joshua didn’t really kiss Miyoung on the lips. I talked to Miyoung last night and told me everything. He just kissed Miyoung’s cheek but near on the lips that’s why it looked like he kissed Miyoung’s lips from your view.”

Jeonghan sighed in relief after he heard what Wonwoo said.

“Okay, thanks. I’ll go to your house later and talk more about it.”

The call ended. Jeonghan put his phone back in his pocket and faced Joshua. “You can go now.”

Joshua looked at him with a weird look before he said, “We’re not yet done talking, are we?”

“We’re done. I believe you now.”

Joshua didn’t say anything and just left the school’s garden.
