CHAPTER • 35

<still JEONGHAN's POV>

"Nice to meet you too, MinGyeong. Your brother is really doing well with my girlfriend's brother." I smiled.

She thanked me shyly and gave me a smile.

"Okay. So like what I said earlier, we will go back to LA next month for our business. You, Jeonghan, will be working with MinGyeong there for a month and I hope you'll get to know each other." My mother said and grinned.

I don't know why I have a bad feeling about this. It looks like they planned something that I don't know or hiding something from me.

I stopped thinking about it for now and asked them, "So, is that all?"

"Yes. Thank you for coming, son. I hope you and MinGyeong will get to know each other." My father answered me.

Then I stood up and bowed to them before I left the room. I left the company and hopped inside my car. I looked at the time now—it is almost 9 in the evening. I took my phone out and saw that there's a one message from my girlfriend.

Jagiya~ I'm going to sleep now. See you tomorrow!
Good night. I love you so much! 😘  08:20PM

I smiled seeing her message. I replied:

Good night, my love. 😘 I love you too~

I then put my phone back in my pocket. I started the car and drove to my house.

When I reached home, I went to my bedroom and plopped myself on my bed.

Staring at the ceiling, I started to think when I will propose to my beloved Miyoung. I want my proposal will be romantic and memorable but I can't think anything now. I still kept thinking and thinking until I fell asleep.

Finally! The day has come. The day when Jeonghan will propose to his beloved girlfriend for five years, Jeon Miyoung. This is also the day when Jeonghan will tell Miyoung that he will he will go back to LA with his family and the Kim family for their work in their companies.

Since Jeonghan and Miyoung don't have work today, Jeonghan asked Miyoung out to the amusement park to have fun and enjoy the rides.

They've already tried most of the rides and now they are going to ride the Ferris wheel. Jeonghan noticed that his girlfriend's smile never disappear at least one second. Miyoung is really enjoying her time with her boyfriend.

They're now inside the Ferris wheel. Jeonghan sits across Miyoung and after a few moments of silence, he started their conversation.

"Miyoung-ah. I have something to tell you."

"What is it?" Miyoung asked, looking at him straight to his eyes.

"I'm going back to LA next month."

Miyoung frowned after she heard what Jeonghan just said. "Why? What are you going to do there? How long?" She asked.

"I'm going back there with my and Mingyu's family because my father said that we have lots of things to do there for our company. I'll be back after a month." Jeonghan explained.

"Are you sure that you'll be gone just for a month?"

Jeonghan chuckled before he answered, "Yes, Miyoung. Do you think that will happen again? That I'll go back here after ten years. That won't happen anymore so don't worry, and I don't want to be so far away from you for a few weeks. It would hurt me."

"Okay then. Do well your job there for your family's company." Miyoung smiled.

"Well, sure." Jeonghan scratched his nape.

There was a moment of silence. Miyoung started to think as she stared at the scene outside. She noticed that they're almost at the top of the ride.

Jeonghan decided to break the silence. "Miyoung-ah... Do you still really love me?" He asked.

Miyoung stopped spacing out when she heard her boyfriend's question and it made her heart beats fast in nervousness.

"Yes. W-why did y-you ask?" Miyoung asked, stuttering.

"It's because... Uhmm." Jeonghan looked down and gulped. "You can do this, Jeonghan." He thought.

"Because of what, Jeonghan?"

"Because I want to break up our relationship." Jeonghan continued what he was going to say.

"Wh-what? What do you mean? We've been together for five years th-then you'll ju-just s-say..." Miyoung stuttered and groaned.

"Do you want to hear my explanation?" Jeonghan asked his girlfriend who's in urge of crying.

Miyoung just nodded and let Jeonghan explain.

"I want to break up our relationship from you as my girlfriend and I as your boyfriend to you as my fiancée and I as your fiancé."

Miyoung stopped from crying and looked at her boyfriend. "What do you mean?" She asked confusedly.

Jeonghan didn't answer Miyoung and just put out a small box from his pocket. He then stood up from his seat and kneeled down in front of Miyoung.

Jeonghan opened the small box and Miyoung gasped when she saw the ring. She didn't expect that Jeonghan will propose today.

"Jeo-Jeonghan.. What is-"

Before Miyoung could continue her sentence, Jeonghan cut her off by asking:

"Jeon Miyoung, will you marry me?"
