CHAPTER • 20

Jeonghan walked Miyoung to her home from school. They don’t have homework for today so Miyoung can rest and watch some of her favorite shows. After organizing her things in her bedroom, she plopped herself on the bed and took her phone to check the notifications from her SNS accounts.

As she scrolls down, she saw Joshua posted something just now.

I really like her. I just don’t want to be friends with her but more than that. *cross fingers*

Miyoung started to wonder who Joshua is talking about. She left a comment, saying:

Woah. My friend is in love. Who is she, Josh?

After a few minutes, Joshua replied to her comment.

Sorry, I cannot tell you. :)

After Miyoung read Joshua’s reply, she sighed and pouted. “Why he cannot tell it to me?” She thought.

She then went to the living room to watch some of her favorite shows or movies. While surfing through the channels, she stopped on the channel which it shows her favorite movie called ‘The Space Between Us’. Miyoung started to fangirl over the actor who’s the main character in the movie but got jealous when the actor kissed the girl.

“Omo. Gardner is so handsome. Tulsa is so lucky!” She pouted.

(A/N: Sorry, I’m a fan of Asa Butterfield. He is the main character in the movie called ‘The Space Between Us’. Gardner is his name in the movie while the girl’s name (Britt Robertson) is Tulsa.)

“Miyoung-ah! Dinner’s ready! Call your brother.” Mrs. Jeon shouted from the kitchen.

“Sure.” She then turned off the TV and went to Wonwoo’s bedroom to call him.

Before Miyoung could knock on the door, she heard Wonwoo is talking to someone from the outside. She decided to eavesdrop to their conversation.

“I know you’ll get jealous that’s why I didn’t tell you.”

“Joshua is nice. Don’t worry about her when she’s with him.”

“Don’t get mad at Josh. Maybe he just wants to be friends with my sister.”

Miyoung got curious as she listened through the door. She furrowed her eyebrows as she thought, “Who is he talking to?”

“Believe me. She likes you too.”

“I like that person back? Who is that?” Miyoung mumbled. She suddenly thought that Jeonghan is the only person she really likes. “Shit. Don’t tell me…. Is he talking to Jeonghan?”

Miyoung just want to ignore those for now and knocked on the door. “Wonwoo oppa, dinner’s ready!” She said.

“Okay. Just wait a little.” She heard Wonwoo said from his bedroom. Miyoung then went to the kitchen to eat dinner with her family.

JEONGHAN’s POV
When I arrived home, I went to my bedroom and organized my things. My bedroom is so messy so I decided to clean it first before I do anything I want to do.

After cleaning my bedroom, I decided to call Wonwoo to ask something. It took 3 rings before he answered my call.

“What is it, Jeonghan?”

“Why did you lie to me?” I asked with a serious tone.

“Lied to you? What do you mean?”

“You said you don’t have any idea where Miyoung went that day and you just told me she went somewhere where she could have fun.”

I heard him scoffed before he answered my question, “I know you’ll get jealous that’s why I didn’t tell you.” He knows what I am talking about right now.

“I know you know that I’ll get jealous. Why you didn’t just tell me the truth at the first place? I just want to know if she was doing fine and where she was.”

“Joshua is nice. Don’t worry about her when she’s with him.” He sighed.

“I know he’s nice but you don’t know how he likes Miyoung. I am mad at him because he did something to Miyoung that I really don’t want him to do.”

“Don’t get mad at Josh. Maybe he just wants to be friends with my sister.”

“Friends?! Not only that but he wants to become more than friends with Miyoung.” I said annoyingly.

“And so what if Joshua likes her? Miyoung doesn’t like Joshua back. By the way, what do you mean by Joshua did something that you don’t want him to do with my sister?”

“He kissed Miyoung, you don’t know?!” I groaned, emphasizing the word 'kiss'.

“Wait. What?! I don’t know. When did he do that?”

Then I explained when Joshua kissed Miyoung and how I saw it. I explained detail by detail so he could understand even more.

“Jeez. I’ll talk to her later.”

“Well, you really should.” I rolled my eyes. “I just don’t want her to fall in love with Joshua.”

“I know what you mean. Just don’t worry and please stick to your mind that my sister doesn’t like Joshua back. She told me that he’s handsome but he is not her type. Please take care of her when I am not with her and when she’s sad, please cheer her up or comfort her. You are her bestfriend, right? She just always thinks about the person that she really likes. Trust me, she won’t have feelings for Joshua.” Wonwoo told me seriously.

“Sure, I will.” I sighed.

“Believe me. She likes you too.”

Before I could respond, Wonwoo already hung up the call. I suddenly got curious. I don’t know if I heard him right or not.

What did he say just now? Miyoung likes me back? What does he mean by that? Is it true?
