Phichit always remembered to thank whatever god heard him on that day. You had gone into labor two months early with your daughter, Sumalee. She was in the NICU for about two months. It was before the skating season started that year, during Spring, actually. To be more specific, it was on his birthday, April 30. He'd just turned 21.

Of course, now she was okay. He was currently laying on his side, watching her crawl around in the hamster onesie, taking pictures. He documented her every move with pictures. She was finally putting on enough weight to properly fit into most of her clothes.

He'd had enough, though! She was too cute for her own good!!! He picked her up, and kissed her cheek multiple times, gently blowing raspberries on them, and just loving on her. This had caused her to giggle.

She was 6 months old at the moment, and he had to get a selfie with her. He took it, smiling bigger than ever and she knew exactly what to do as she grabbed onto his neck for support and faced the phone, face pressed against his.

You looked at your notifications, and smiled at your husband's antics. You supposed that's what made you love him. Only away for an hour to get groceries, and he was being cutesy with your daughter.

He decided to try the music. Sure enough, she started drifting to sleep, and he stopped crying himself. She looked up at him with weary eyes.

He gently placed a kiss on her forehead, and continued rocking. She looked just like you, but with himself mixed in there somewhere. It made him feel so good to see you and himself in this tiny being in his arms. How could someone so small take up such a big place in his heart?

He didn't know. All he knew was that he wanted to protect her forever. From everything. If she got hurt, it would hurt him, as well.

He realized that she had fallen asleep while he was thinking. He smiled down at her, and placed her in her crib, and whispered, "I love you, my baby."
