Chapter 28 Katelyn POV

I woke up and realized that Severus was gone. I got up and started getting ready for my day. I got in the shower and then as I was drying my hair I noticed that it was neon yellow.
"SEVERUS SNAPE", I yelled. I looked like a highlighter. I finished with my hair and realized the yellow wouldn't come out. I stormed out in my Slytherin robes and into the Great Hall where I was met by a snickering Dumbledore, Snape, and Samantha.
"Not funny", I said.
"I think it is", Samantha started but I glared at her, "...not funny." Then she started laughing. I went in and got my food and sat far away from everyone and everyone knew it was Snape because of what was said and done yesterday. Draco was avoiding me after what he saw yesterday. Then as I was eating I hexed Severus with my wand under the table. It was a talking backwards hex.
   "wolloH .sM", he shouted, "siht htiw yawa teg t'nac ehs sublA (Albus she can't get away with this)."
   "I am afraid she already has", Dumbledore said. I sat in my seat and laughed. Then I got up and walked out and Severus followed shortly after.
   "nyletaK no emoc (come on Katelyn)", he said.
   "Fine", I said and then I released the hex. Then I felt like someone was behind me. I turned around and saw Josh at the corner. He waved and walked away. I looked in confusion. Severus saw me but was quiet. I shook my head and walked down the hall to the stairs. I was feeling dizzy all of a sudden. I staggered down the stairs. Then I slipped on the stairs and fell all the way down. I blacked out. Then hours later I woke up on the floor bleeding. I was still at the bottom of the stairs. Then I realized that no one knew about this place. A secret underground area that I found that was really hidden. No one would be able to find me and I couldn't move. Then I pulled out my wand.
   "Expecto Patronum", I muttered. A ferret appeared from my wand. I said the directions to where I was in one word phrases and I said Snape. The ferret ran off and I was alone. Meanwhile my ferret ran to Severus's office where he was sitting on the couch reading. Then when he saw the ferret he sat up confused until my voice came from it.
"Secret underground area....entrance.....in the dungeon staircase....help....", then me crying out in pain came out of the ferret clearly, "follow......ferret...." Then the ferret took off and Severus followed it. He came down the stairs to where I was. I was bleeding and had a bad concussion. I was out cold. Severus picked me up and carried me to the hospital wing. I was laid in a bed and Severus stayed beside me the whole day. Late that night I woke up. I looked and saw Severus asleep in a chair. I still had a huge headache. I laid there in silence. I tried to sit up but I couldn't move. Then Severus stirred in his sleep. I laid there not knowing what to do. I tried to open my mouth but it wouldn't. Then two people walked into the hospital wing. I tried to move but nothing worked. Then Dumbledore was standing at the end of the bed with Samantha. Severus stirred again.
"This really has me worried, Albus", Samantha said, "what if she never wakes up?"
"She will wake up", Dumbledore said, "but I sure things will be different." Then Severus woke up.
"Different how", Severus asked.
"I am not sure", Dumbledore said. Then Samantha came around the bed and was standing beside me. I didn't realize my eyes weren't really open. I was just able to see and hear everything.
"Are you sure she hasn't moved or opened her eyes at all", she asked Severus.
"No she hasn't and that's why I am worried", he said. Then I was lost in thought. I was dreaming. I was at the edge of the forest again and I saw someone.
"You can't run for ever", the person said, "when he rises again he will hunt you down. Anyone that tries to protect you will die. Your power will be harnessed by the dark lord."
   "But I can hide", I said, "he will not have my power. No one will other than me." Then the person chuckled.
   "Such faith for a puny girl as yourself", they said.
   "And no one will try to protect me...I can take care of myself", I growled. I ran and tackled him. Then I saw the dark mark on his arm. Then his face. It was an old friend of mine. I gasped and backed away from him.
   "How could you", I asked.
   "Good bye, Katelyn" he said. Then he waved his hand and I woke up. I saw that Severus had gone back to sleep and that Samantha and Dumbledore were gone doing Merlin knows what. I looked over at Severus and sat up in the bed. He didn't wake up. I got out of the bed and his eyes opened a little.
   "Shhh", I whispered as I crawled onto his lap, "go back to sleep." I buried myself in his black robes and he placed and arm around me. Then he fell asleep again. Then I realized my hair was no longer neon yellow. I laid my head on his chest and refused to close my eyes not wanting to see an old friend who was now an enemy.
