Chapter 1 Katelyn's POV

   I ran as fast as I could. My chest felt like it would explode. I turned and ran straight for the woods. I remembered something that my mom had told me once. That if I was ever in trouble I could go to Hogwarts and be safe. I wasn't like anyone else. Then I could see a faint light ahead of me. Despite my body saying I couldn't go any farther I ran faster to the opening. My eyes were squeezed shut not wanting to see what lied ahead. Then I ran into someone. I opened my eyes and saw Albus Dumbledore right in front of me.
   "You aren't a student here so what are you doing here", he asked in a calm and concerned voice.
   "My name is Katelyn and my mom once said if I am in any trouble to go to Hogwarts and talk to Albus Dumbledore", I said after I caught my breath. He nodded. I had a really bad lisp as I talked due to my Invisalign.
   "I need to hide. My parents were just killed by death eaters and I barely made it out alive", I continued, "and here we are."
   "Come inside", he said ushering me in. I followed him and we went up to his office.
   "I am guessing that you know that I am not telling the whole story", I said softly.
   "Yes", he said. I stood up and whispered something in his ear. I went and sat back down.
   "I see", he said, "so how old are you?"
   "34", I said, "although I don't look it."
   "I agree", he said with a soft smile, "I will allow you to hide as a student here at Hogwarts since you look young enough to be a student. I will put you in 5th year classes and say you are an transfer student."
   "Thank you Albus", I said.
   "So who is your mom", he asked.
   "Amelia Hollow", I said.
   "Ah I understand now", he said. Then we chatted for a little longer. Then he told me to get some rest and we will take care of everything in the morning. Just as he was about to leave he turned back around and walked back to his desk.
   "The sorting hat", he said, "we need to figure out which house you will be in."
   "Ok", I said nodding. It turns out I would be in sytherin. Tomorrow I would have my first classes so I need as much rest as I could get.
