Chapter 10 Katelyn POV

I lied on the floor bleeding. Then Dumbledore and Severus came down the hall.
"Katelyn", Severus said rushing over to me.
"I hate my brother", I said softly under my breath.
"We need to get her to the hospital wing", Dumbledore said quickly.
"Ughhh", I groaned, "stupid...hate....murder..."
"What", Severus asked.
"Stupid brother....I hate him...", I mumbled.
"Hold on", Severus said picking me up. I winced in pain as he touched a sore spot on my back. He carried me to the hospital wing. I was laid in a bed and a single blood tinted tear fell down the side of my face. Severus sat down on the bed with me and put my head on his lap. I knew my brother gave me the bunny for a reason. I have had the rabbit since I was little. I clutched the rabbit close. Then Madame Pomfrey came over and took my vitals. My vitals were fine. I was just really banged up. Madame Pomfrey told us that I had to stay over night just to make sure that I was 100% stable. I fell asleep laying with my head on Severus's chest. When I woke up he was gone. Madame Pomfrey came in and told me I was good to go so I got up and left. I reached into my pocket to pull out my wand and realized it had snapped in half. I shoved the two halves back in my pocket and walked down the hall to the slytherin common room. I saw Draco but I ignored him as I went up to my room. I went into my room and shut the door behind me. I walked over to my closet and pulled out a cage and opened it. I put my arm in and a snake slithered into view and up my arm.
   "Yesss, Katelyn", it hissed in parseltongue.
   "I need a favor", I hissed in parseltongue.
   "What kind of favor", it hissed.
   "Find out what Misster Malfoy wants", I hissed, "with me."
   "What do you mean 'with you'", the snake hissed.
   "Elizabeth, that boy tried to invade my privacy", I hissed.
   "I sssee", Elizabeth hissed. Then she slithered off. I went over to my bed and pulled out a small kennel from under it.
   "It is time to come out, Maddy", I said. Then my calico cat Maddy came out.
"You really let Elizabeth out", she meowed.
"What do you think", I meowed back.
"I don't know why you let her out...she is highly poisonous...she could kill someone", Maddy meowed.
"I know but I would be happy if she bit Draco Malfoy", I meowed.
"Whatever. I am hungry", she meowed.
"Then let's go get you something to eat", I meowed.
"Ok", she meowed. Then she followed me out of the room. We made our way down to the Great Hall when I ran straight into Severus.
"I'm sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going and Maddy is throwing a fi-", I started rambling before I realized it was Severus.
"It is fine Ms. Hallow", he said before looking at the cat who was glaring at us.
"Oh knock it off, Maddy", I meowed at her, "you will get your food soon enough." Then I realized I was speaking in cat in the middle of a hall way. Severus gave me a confused look but I ignored it as I picked up Maddy.
"Well, if I don't hurry up and get her something to eat then she will be having me for dinner." Then I walked off and didn't notice Maddy sticking her tongue out at Severus.
