Lapis pov...

Oh my god. I thought as the masked man pulled out a gun.

As the man put the gun down he seemed to study us with his expression.

Then as he stood up he shouted in a loud tone.

"Alright all of you!! Get out of here!!"

The henchman quickly ran away and out of sight.

Just as I was opening my mouth to ask, peridot answered me.

"The henchman are running to the cars parked outside...this means that their trying to get away in a hurry." Peridot stated in her weird sort of tone.

Then the masked man quickly turned around. And to my surprise, he spoke.

"Hello!! My dear hostages... my name is... well... what should I call myself eh??!!" The masked man asked us.

Peridot said in her strange metallic voice.

"How about...Moriarty?"

The man pulled his head back in a laugh and while laughing suddenly bent down and punched peridot in the face.

"Please stop!!" I shouted as he pounded down on the tied down peridot.

After a few moments of pummeling the man finally stood up and smile.

(In case you're wondering how lapis knows the man is smiling, the mask is a ski mask)

The man sat himself down on another chair and stared at the now beaten peridot.

Why isn't she doing anything? She could've been out of these ropes and beat that guy to death already?!

I thought as Peridot finally said something.

"I know what you want me to do." Peridot says as she looks at the masked man with menacing eyes.

The masked man knocks his head back and laughs.

"Hahaha... yes alright... do you really want to do it?!" The masked man asked.

What is peridot planning? I thought as Peridot finally nods and smiled.

"I'll play your little game!" Peridot shouts and looks at me with those eyes. The eyes that told me something was about to go down.

The man reached for the gun and looks at me.

Then he answered my unspoken question.

"So I suppose you want to know what this game is...well... I have here a desert eagle, it's one of a few commonly know hand guns used by marksmen... So, here's what I propose. I will cock the gun and aim it at one of you. It is up to you two to see who lives!......and who dies."

"But know this... The one I do not shoot will be taken to a warehouse far from here. Where that person will be ransomed for exactly one million dollars... ready?"

And as he says this the man cocked the gun.

"This is crazy! Please STOP!!" I yelled.

But too late, the pointed the gun at us.

I have to save peridot! I have to apologize for getting her into this! I have to say I'm......sorry.

Before I could say any of this though peridot shouts out.

"I'LL DO IT!!"

I shake my head, "No peridot please don't!!"

Peridot looked at me. Those eyes like green emeralds sparkling in the darkness.

The masked man slowly nods and points the gun at peridot...

He lowers the gun.

"I won't shoot a person sitting down... guards!!"

And two people came in and untied peridot. They held her up and the man raised his gun once more.

No... thought as I tried to say something but too late....BANG!!!!!!!

"NOOOOOOOO!!!" I yelled as they took me away and slowly dragged me outside.

Tears streamed down my eyes as I saw peridot slowly turned her back to me, and leaned her head on the wall. Then, she fell backwards and landed on her back without even a twitch.

Hey guys!! Don't worry this isn't the ending the next chapter is coming out titled "the genius" so don't worry I repeat this isn't the ending there's no way I'd make that bad of an ending alright so calm down and keep reading!(^_^)

I'm also sorry for not updating so much, it's because I had writer's block. But now I'm back in action.
