Peridot pov...
KLANG!!!
That was the sound of me knocking a guard out.
1 HOUR EARLIER...
Maybe... I thought as I looked at the building in front of me.
"The fans been blocked off...moriarty must've seen this coming... but he doesn't know one thing."
I said as I pulled out the knife I took from the equipment table.
He didn't plan on me being armed.
And I went into action.
First, I took the rope I had brought and unraveled it.
Then, I looked for a spot on the ledge of the building that I could climb.
After about a few TIRING minutes of looking for the right spot, I found it.
It was a ledge that had a hole in it directly in the middle.
A crack would have been perfect a hole would also do the trick.
Today's my lucky day...
I tried to climb the ledge, but the cement that made up the building was too smooth.
Good thing I already had a back up plan...
So, I quickly took the knife and nudged it above the hole on the ledge.
I had to make sure that the hole wasn't too big or small.
Then, I took the knife down and grabbed the rope.
I then proceeded to tie the rope around the knife using a bowline knot.
The laws of physics state that an object can be broken if the area of tension is large...but...if the area of tension is small, there's a less likely chance of that object breaking.
For example: any trained martial artist can break wood, but any person can break wood if the wooden plank was a foot long. This is because the longer the plank, the more weak it is,and the higher chance it will break.
(just taught you something...but don't try this at home).
So with this in mind, I put the paracord through the hole in the ledge.
The knife acted as an anchor for me to climb up.
When I finally climbed up the ledge (which took only a few LONG second)
I looked around to find an air vent in the side of the building.
So, after undoing my little handy work, I quickly opened the vent (using the knife as a screwdriver),and climbed through.
The air duct was hot and smelled of dust.
I was careful not to make a lot of noise while I made my way through the ducts and peered through the vents, looking for lapis.
As I looked through one of the vents, though, I saw a guard patrolling a corridor.
A plan suddenly occurs to me.
If I can take that thug's uniform, I can blend in and find lapis easier.
So I made my move.
I remember my training and watch the guards movements throughout the corridor.
never run into a situation without getting to know your environment.
My brother once said.
As I looked at the guards movements I noticed that he was walking as if his leg was broken.
Then I remembered that when Jasper had attacked me at the school parking lot with a lot of thugs, I had cut one of them in the leg.
The world truly is small...and you my thug friend are terribly unlucky.
I made my move.
I slowly unturned the screws of the vent carefully, and when I finished, I pulled the vent off.
Then, as I saw the guard walk underneath, I jumped down the vent feet first.
I felt a solid CRACK!! As my feet crashed into his head.
He fell to the floor, unmoving.
A FEW AWKWARD MOMENTS OF CHANGING CLOTHES LATER...
I hate this.
The clothes were baggy and I didnt feel at ALL like the spies in movies.
"HEY YOU THERE!!!"
I turned around as a couple of guards ran marched towards me with guns.
The things I do for a girl
I thought as the guards came closer, and closer...
