Inside an old cabin in the middle of the woods, are dead bodies of unidentified people. The grisly scene shocked not only the policemen, but as well as everyone that's working on the area at that very moment.
Each of the bodies is laid on top of a butcher's table covered by black plastic bags. Huge glass jars on the side that was laid above a wooden table, filled with human body parts, consists of mostly eyes and ears of the victims. The whole inside of the cabin were also terrifying as it was painted in blood. The brownish color of the dried blood was painted at the walls, and the ceiling, making it looked like hell in horror stories or movies. The smell of the whole cabin is undeniably awful, "The smell of death" as most people called it.
Detective Stone and Sarah couldn't resist the horrific odor the dead bodies were releasing. Their senses of smell capitulated from the awful odor, making them walked out of the cabin and breathe some fresh air.
"What the hell is going on? We have dead bodies everywhere, and the police department does not have any idea about these?" Detective Stone said. He paused for a while and breathe deeply, "What if the family murder did not even happened? We won't be able to know these killings?" He added. Detective Stone is very mad, because he knew that the police force committed negligence.
"Chill out! We need to focus, do not let your feelings ruin you; the murderer wanted us to feel this way. If you will let your emotions dominate you, we lose." Detective Sarah said, calming Detective stone, patting his shoulders.
Detective Stone approached a CIU staff taking pictures outside the cabin, and asked for a pair of gloves and surgical mask. "Can you give me two pairs of medium sized latex gloves and two pieces of surgical mask?" He asked, courteously.
"Sure, hold on, I will just get some at the supply box." The CIU agent replied.
"Thank you, I will hold the camera for you while you're getting my request." Detective Stone offered.
"Thank you detective, you're such a gentleman." The CSI agent replied, and then she handed the camera to the detective.
"Hey! Detective Sarah, I will just roam around, to see if I can still find some evidence." Detective Stone said to Detective Sarah, who is standing outside the cabin, smoking cigarette. Sarah nodded, and then the detective started to roam, and take pictures of the area.
While taking pictures, Detective Stone seems to notice some movements 20 meters away from the second cabin. He quickly walked towards the direction where he saw the movement. He hanged the camera on his neck and reached for his gun. He unclipped the holster, holds his magnum 357 pistol and examined the area.
Detective Sarah noticed the unusual movement of Detective Stone. She quickly walked to the detective's direction, and drew her 9mm handgun. "What's the matter?"
She whispered very curious, because of the sudden strange behavior of his partner.
"I saw some movements there." He whispered back, pointing his finger to the direction.
The two detectives split up, and checked the whole area. Suddenly, a raccoon appeared in front of Detective Stone making him jumped backwards. "Shit!" He said.
Detective Sarah quickly approached Detective Stone, and laughed hard. "Really?" She asked, while she continues laughing loud and hard. Who would not laugh at Detective Stone's shocking expression, it was like he saw a dinosaur appeared in front of him
"Damn it! I almost fired a shot!" Detective Stone said, irritated.
The CIU agent, who was asked by Detective Stone, came back with the materials requested to her. She walked towards the direction of the detectives, and gave them the materials they needed. "Here you go, Sir." She said, while handling the latex gloves and surgical masks to the two detectives.
"Thank you so much, and here is your camera." Detective Stone said, while handling back the camera, to the CSI staff. "By the way, I took some photos around, if you can find them useful, add those as evidence. If not, you can just erase."
"Noted." The CSI agent replied, and then went back to his area.
Detective Stone and Sarah put on the green latex gloves that were handed to them by the CSI staff. They also wore the facemask they requested, so that they can resist the smell while they are inside the cabin.
While walking back, Detective Stone became suspicious of the second cabin that seems to be larger than the first one. He stopped and turned his attention to that log house, thinking, there's more evidence inside. He walked towards the door of the huge wooded house, and tried to open it. "Doors are locked." He said, while facing towards Detective Sarah and his hands still holding the door knob.
Detective Sarah walked closely to the windows of the huge cabin and tried to peek inside. However, she failed. The windows are painted in black and it's very impossible to see from the outside. "I can't even see the inside; the windows are painted with black. Why not just destroy the door?" Detective Sarah suggested.
"Good idea!" Detective Stone replied, agreeing with Detective Sarah's idea.
Detective Stone moved a little bit backwards and kicked the huge wooden door. The door opened, and then, an army of flies quickly flew pass through them. The smell is stronger than the first cabin. Even with a surgical mask, both detectives were disgusted by the odor that welcomed them.
"Do you have a flashlight?" Detective Stone asked Detective Sarah. The inside of the house is too dark, so forbidding that even the light of the sun can't pass through.
Luckily, Detective Sarah brought her small LED flashlight. "Here, take this." She said, while handling the flashlight to Detective Stone.
Detective Stone turned on the flash light and then, they slowly stepped inside to check the huge cabin.
A horrendous scene welcomed the two detectives inside; more graphic than the small cabin they first went into. Dead decaying bodies were piled up on all corners of the room. Rusted chopping materials can be found anywhere, scattered on the ground filled with dried blood. Surgical tools on a small metallic surgical table, and severed decaying heads on a wooden table leaning on the wall.
"Our killer is the epitome of a demonic entity." Detective Stone uttered.
Detective Sarah went outside to ask for assistance from the policemen, they needed light to see everything inside.
While examining the dark cabin with just a flashlight; Detective Stone walked towards one of the windows of the cabin, and broke it with an axe he picked up from the floor.
The moment the sunlight passed through the broken window, Detective Stone's body suddenly felt too cold; he was terrified and he was shaking.
The dead bodies inside was all from children, mostly 13 – 17 years of age, judging by the body's maturity and size. "Bull shit!" He said, in a painful and teary voice.
Detective Stone fought his weakness hard, and continued with his investigation of the huge cabin. His body was shaking, he can't even walk properly. "How could this be?" He asked himself again.
Detective Stone saw a door just 15 meters approximately from where he was standing. He tried to reach the spot and opened the door. Inside was some sort of a dining table. "This could be the dining area." He said to himself.
He walked towards the windows above the sink, and broke them as well. The light came in, and Detective Stone saw a used plate, and a glass of water on top of the table half full.
He walked closely and smelled the food that was in the plate. "It's fresh" He said to himself, puzzled.
