At last, school was finally over. I just couldn't wait to go to our mall trip today. I told Chaz and Chris that I'll be ready in an hour. I grabbed all my stuff from my locker and pulled out my iPod, ready to take my walk home. Vinny had lacrosse practice, and my parents had the car, so I couldn't exactly fly home.

It took me four tries until I officially got my license. The first time was because I was really nervous. The second time was because I didn't know how to correctly parallel park, the third time was because I ran over almost half of the cones because my phone kept vibrating in my pocket and it threw me off, and the fourth time was because I ran a red light. I was so close that day! It was one more block and I was done. But I got a little impatient I guess. Someone tapped my shoulder from behind, and I turned around looking at Christofer.

"Shit! How many times are you gonna scare me?"

"Plenty of times until you pee your pants."

"Well you better hold your breath buddy. You live near here?"

"Yup. Manchester Avenue."

"Really? I live like a block down from you."

"Good. Because now, I have a walking buddy."

When I got home, I noticed that dad wasn't there. He was supposed to be home an hour ago. I need to see if he would give me money to go to the mall. I mean, you didn't think I was gonna use my own money did you? When I walked into the living room, I saw my mom sitting on the couch with a bunch of her neighborhood friends sitting down and drinking coffee, reading some stupid book. Typical boring housewives. No wonder why dad wasn't here. Today is Mom's book club. Yeah, I look like my mom, but I have a careless personality like my dad. I waved and greeted all the ladies as I hugged and kissed my mom.

"Hey honey. How was school today?" I hated when she acted all civil and nice in front of people. Her normal question was always, 'How was school, did a bitch piss you off today?', and, 'Why are you walking like that, you look like a retarded seal.' Yeah, my mom isn't normal. I shrugged and smiled.

"It was the same. There was a new kid today though. His name was Christofer."

"Oh! This is Christofer's mom, Nancy. They just moved here. What a coincidence!" Well it wasn't really, but whatever she says. His mom smiled at me, and I walked up to her and shook her hand. She looked almost like Christofer, with brunette hair.

I waved goodbye to all the moms as I ran upstairs and threw my stuff on my bed. I took my math homework out of my backpack, and decided to do it since it was the only homework that I have for the day. I was actually surprised at that. Normally I would get homework from EVERY teacher each day. Hmm.. I guess today was just an off day for all the teachers. I totally wish that they were like that everyday.

I was right on time when I finished my homework, and I wasted no time getting ready. I went into the bathroom and reapplied my makeup, and brushed my hair until it looked decent enough. I grabbed my bag and ran downstairs. I stopped in the living room and stood in the doorway and put my hands behind my back as I silently crossed my fingers. Here goes nothing. Christofer texted me and told me that they were outside, so I had to be just a little rushy.

"Mom, can I have money to go to the mall?" She eyed me suspiciously as I stood there with my crossed fingers and they were getting tighter and tighter. Gawd, I hate wishing for things. She said nothing as she got up from the couch and excused herself, walking into the kitchen where her purse was. She handed me fifty bucks and gave me that motherly smile. I uncrossed my fingers and smiled to myself. Works every time. I was about to take the money from her hands, when she quickly pushed it back. What now?

"Did you clean your room last night like I asked you?" I looked straight into her eyes as I showed no fear. Of course I cleaned it yesterday! My room isn't really that messy, but I have a habit of leaving dirty laundry all over my floor. I nodded my head vigorously as she put the money in my hands.

"Thanks mom! I'll be back in a couple of hours." I kissed her goodbye as I ran out the house.

When I got into Chris' car, I greeted Chaz and Chris as I sat in the back and buckled my seatbelt. Chris turned up the radio and Paradise by Coldplay started playing. I felt my phone vibrating as I took it out. It was a text message from Vinny.

Vinny: I hate to say this babe, but I have to cancel our plans for 2nite.

Me: Why?

Vinny: I have a stomach bug or something not really feelin well :(

Me: Its okay! (: I understand, maybe next time. Look I G2G but I'll text u Lata to check up on u k?

Vinny: Yup. Love you <3

Me: I love you too <3

I put my phone in my pocket and stared out the window. I couldn't help big feel a little disappointed. You see, since Vinny's parents were gonna be gone for the next two weeks, he promised me that tonight we were gonna go to his house and order a pizza while we watch a movie. Now I know that doesn't sound like a big deal, but I'm a hopeless romantic so.. There you have it.

When we pulled up in front of the mall, I grabbed my stuff and got out the car.

"So, what are our plans while we're here?" Chris said looking at me. I looked around the mall as I thought about what we were really gonna do.

"How about we look around and go shopping and then we catch a movie, and before we go home, we stop at McDonalds or something for dinner?" I asked them both. They looked at each other before they finally nodded their heads with excitement, making me laugh.

"I'll take that as a yes then. Lets go!"

When we finally got out of the mall, it was roughly about 10:30 at night. We were in the car, blasting Our Last Night while Christofer went over the speed limit just a little bit. Crazy teenagers. You can't blame us. Tonight was quite a fucking night. Maybe it was more livelier because Chris was with us. Chaz insisted that we go see a horror movie, and being the big baby that I was, I quickly refused to see it. After about ten minutes of the both of them begging, I finally gave in. I sat in between Chris and Chaz. At all the scary parts, Chris put his arms around my shoulder while I sat there covering my eyes. Chaz kept on making kissing faces and I was glad that he didn't notice because if he did, that would have been so embarrassing! But I'll get Chaz back when she least expects it. She's not really fond of Vinny, so any guy I meet, she'll try to hook me up with him. We just met Christofer, and already we were hanging out and telling secrets like we've known each other forever. After that scary shit, we went to McDonalds to eat. We got kicked out of there after because we were throwing fries at strangers. We knew we would get in trouble, but it was just too hilarious! It felt more like a Friday than a Monday night.

We just dropped Chaz off and Chris was taking me to Vinny's house so I could just drop in and check up on him. Vinny's house was about five or ten minutes away from mine, at the top of the hill. It was a really expensive apartment complex, with a really quiet neighborhood.

When we pulled up, Chris waited in the car as I went inside the apartment building. I was gonna take the elevator, but since I'm terrified of elevators, I decided to take the stairs. Too many horror movies have scenes where the girl gets stuck in the elevator and all the ghosts shut the lights out, so the ghost can slit her throat.

When I got to his apartment number, I looked under the mat and grabbed his key. As I unlocked the door, I quietly crept inside, wanting to surprise him. Maybe I'll make him soup. The apartment was quiet, and dark. A light shown in the bathroom and I heard his voice coming from it. I smiled to myself and slowly walked toward the bathroom. When I opened the door, I was shocked at what I saw.

Vinny stood there in nothing but his boxers, making out with Claire. One of the popular girls, and also my former friend.
