I had ended up saying yes to Draco. I said yes for me. I don't know if I also said yes in spite of Harry, but I did it for me first. The night after I said yes, I found a box on my bed with the most beautiful green dress.
As I put it on tonight and got myself ready, I couldn't help but feel a confidence boost. It was like that for everyone else too. There's something about a ball I guess...
"I never asked you. How did Cedric take the rejection?" Raven asked me as she was doing her make up.
"He took it surprisingly great. I even helped him find another date. You guys know Cho right?" I asked.
"She's from Ravenclaw isn't she?" Asked Sarah, also in the bathroom.
"Yeah. I knew she wanted to go with Cedric. The way she looked at him made it obvious."
"Anyways, is Draco meeting you at the common room?" Sarah asked.
"Yeah. I'm supposed to meet him in five minutes."
"Well you better hurry!" Raven yelled.
"I'm almost done you drama queen."
"Why do you have to be there so early anyways?" Sarah asked.
"Tri-wizard champion stuff?" I guessed.
"You don't know?" Raven said.
"I have no idea."
"Well that's always a good start!" Raven said sarcastically.
I quickly finished putting on mascara, and then sat on my bed so that I could put on my heels.
"Do you guys know where my purse is?" I asked.
"The black one?" Sarah asked.
"The enchanted one?" Raven asked at the same time.
"Yes!"
Immediately my purse was thrown at me and I surprisingly caught it. I went to Floyd and gave him a pet for goodbye and then went out the door.
Draco sat at the common room waiting for me and immediately stood when he saw me. He smiled and said while I finished going down the stairs, "You look amazing."
"Thanks." I blushed. "You don't look too bad yourself."
"Are you ready to go?" He asked.
"Ready if you are."
"I'm ready."
We started walking, hand in hand. We each snuck glances and each other. "Are you nervous?" He asked.
"To dance in a front of people judging me? No not at all."
"I'll be there you know?"
"I know."
"Just look at me the whole time. Forget everyone else." I couldn't help but smile at that.
When we got there, Professor McGonagall had Draco and I stand behind Cedric and Cho so that we would be ready to go in when we were announced. I know Cedric took it well, but it was still awkward. He didn't turn around, so I didn't know if it was awkward for him too or not.
