I thought Izaya would be mad at me since he sounded unhappy on the last call. But it turned out my suspicious wasn't true at all. At the night on the same day I went with Shizuo, Izaya came to my house with a reason that I found odd.

"I came to check on Keiko-chan." My mom told me his reason. I looked at her, then diverted my stare to Izaya strangely.

"T-Thanks?" I replied sarcastically. Izaya noticed it but he still smiled cutely, something that cringed me until to this day.

"Come in, Izaya-kun." Mom let the male entered in. "Do you want to join dinner too? I cooked too many."

"Thank you for the invitation." Izaya bowed politely. He took off his shoes and walked toward me. He still wore on his smile, but this time he used a sly one. I gulped.

"Is there anything you want to say?" I asked after my mom was gone to the kitchen to prepare for the dinner. Izaya frowned.

"You... don't have anything to say?" I asked once again doubtfully. Izaya stared at me, but then he let out a small laugh.

"You think that I mad at you." Izaya guessed. He put his hands on to his jeans pocket. I only gave him a blank stare because that was the exact thought that I had this morning. As expected of Izaya Orihara, he never failed to guess my mind.

"You're not mad?" I finally spoke out. We went upstairs and headed to my room. As we climbed on the stairs, I continued. "I-I thought you'd be mad since I went with your enemy."

"Oh, don't worry. I know my Keiko-chan won't fall in love with him."

My Keiko-chan?! I jerked my head as my face blushed. "How could you think that? You're jealous?"

Izaya laughed hard. He poked my cheek with his one finger. "I'm just saying. Don't expect too much." I brushed off his finger from my face right away. What did he mean by don't expect too much?

By the time we arrived at the second floor, I opened my room's door and let Izaya came in first. He looked at my room curiously. His eyes carefully scanned each spot in my room, until his gaze fell on a box.

"What is this?" Izaya approached the brown box.

"They're Azami's things." I closed the door. "I visited her house with Shizuo this noon."

"Oh, so it wasn't a date?" Izaya smiled slyly. His hand traced over the box.

"Of course not!" I denied.

"Of course it wasn't." Izaya repeated. "Keiko-chan doesn't like to have a date with a monster."

"I-Izaya, about Shizuo..." I fiddled my fingers nervously since this talk would be a nightmare for Izaya. "I think he's not bad as you say."

"Hah?" Izaya showed his disagreement from my sentence. His tone was more into wonder and disbelief. Well, we're talking about his enemy after all.

"He-He took care of me, and..." Finally, the distance between me and Izaya had begun shortened. "Shizuo is nice. So, I-"

"Keiko-chan..." Izaya cut my words. "Please don't mention his name in front of me again."

"Eh?"

"I'm sick by hearing his name. Especially from you." Izaya turned his head around, facing me. On that moment, I was able to see his unhappy face. He looked so mad and disgusted as I could sum up. "You can befriend with him for all I care, but it's better for you to not get involved with him anymore."

It was rare for me to see such an expression coming from his face, since he always looked at ease or happy. I chose not to say anything and just played along. "I-I understand."
