Unexpected Issues. [Complete]

Just a note, this story takes place after the break in season three. After they episode of the Night Sisters. For future reference, of course.

Kanan and Ezra took the Phantom Two with Chopper as the rest of the Ghost crew and Iron Squadron simply went in the Ghost.

"So, where should we look?" Ezra asked anxiously, looking out the front of the Phantom Two. It was clear he wanted to get the Jedi-hunt done and get back to finding his friends.

"I believe a visit to the Jedi Temple will be the most beneficial in finding a place to start." Kanan stated as Chopper flew the Phantom Two closer to the location of the Temple.

"Well aren't you just the wise one," Ezra muttered as he sat back down, this time in a meditative position.

"Yeah, I am." Kanan joked, "You should know this by now, Ezra."

"Kanan?"

"Yes?"

"Shut up."

They arrived at the temple sooner rather than later.

Too soon for Ezra's liking.

All the mistakes he'd made...

He'd have to face them.

Starting now.

"Ezra," Kanan spoke, not looking toward him but placing a comforting hand on his shoulder, "It'll be okay."

Ezra took a deep breath, "I know, Master."

And they stepped forward, opening the Temple.

The temple swirled open, and they entered. A confident master and hesitant student.

They passed the two dead masters and continued down the long hallway ahead.

"So... where do we find what we're looking for?" Ezra asked.

Kanan shushed him, "Listen."

A low rumbling was heard as the door behind them closed.

The rumbling continued, and the floor cracked between the two.

Ezra had only a moment to look at Kanan in terror before he fell through, Kanan still standing on one side of the cracked ground.

"Ezra!" He yelled as Ezra slid down the wall, collecting scratches on his way down.

He hit the floor hard before he knew nothing but darkness.

Kanan stood at the top of the crack before hesitantly calling his student's name.
