G'day guys Today is pretty at random cause my blog drafts are all on USBs from my dead computer and I ceebs to bring them out and finish writing and publish....calm down I will get to it, I'm still in the computer grieving period. . . Now a context that one of my favourite Youtubers bring up all the time is 'existential crisis' and quite frankly because I have had this crisis for a little while now, I decided that now is a perfect time to sit you all down, with a glass of water and a notebook because this is some educated shiz and I want you all to be prepared.
*PLEASE NOTE: THERE WILL BE A FEW DAN'S IN HERE SO...BRACE YOURSELF ALL FANGIRLS WHO LOVE TO SEE HIM IN THE EXISTENTIAL CRISIS MODE* . . Now to be fair, the definition of an existential crisis is 'A moment at which an individual questions the very foundations of their life: whether this life has any meaning, purpose, or value.' Or basically in certain and more simpler terms...you basically forget what the meaning of your life is and you have no clue what purpose you want to serve in the future, nor what goals you want to achieve before you die...

Now I know what you may be thinking "Jessi, you are only 17 how and what brought all of this on" I'm a year away from graduating high school and entering the real world and I have no idea what I want to do as a career in my life to support my own wants and needs! It's a very hard time for me.
Now to be fair anyone can have an existential crisis, wether you are 13 and starting your foundations of high school or wether you are 25 like Dan Howell and suffering the quarter-crisis (1/4 way to death) and have this occur every two weeks or so often. I had mine only a week ago when I was starting to do some homework that my teachers gave me to complete over the summer holidays and I sat there for 30 minutes before I had my outburst and decided that screw this I wasn't doing this because it will not help me in future.

....please guys don't do that.... Like yes understandably you cannot know at any age what you want to do when you enter the future but there is no reason why you should have breakdowns with school or job related work and decided at the sudden end that you do not wish to do this anymore.
Life has a funny way of preparing you for the unexpected, you sit there and you think that you have all your plans for the future being next month or next year and before you know it, life comes biting you on the ass and then sending you into a downward spiral of depression and stress and anything that would be more shiz in your life. I should know, I planned doing year 12 at TAFE in the city....can't do it now because I have no other means of transport but a wheelchair and it's one that takes me 10 minutes to push up to the bus stop....2 houses away... Now it's all well and good, yea it's a tragedy but here I am preaching to you guys right now.
Don't always plan ahead and don't be ashamed or upset if you don't know where you are going with your life, no one knows where they are going with their life. The job you wish to be at may change in another five or ten years. You may want to go on and enjoy yet try new career oppertunities. Honestly if I wasn't disabled as I was right now I would not have found my passion with blogging, drawing and youtube that I find now as ideas for my future. Life doesn't always go the way you want it to be, your world changes, you make new friends, you fall in love and get heartbroken, you get a job, you're fired from a job...just...my point being that the world will always change and people will change because they are starting to open themselves up to new challenges and experiences that make you see yourself in a completely different way then you did before. It's going to be hard, and there will be times where you will want to punch and scream and hate the world and cry and blame the man upstairs for having it in for you but...end of the day, those crappy experiences are just going to give you more experience to life, that change you have when you grow and open your eyes up so that way you can say 'oh well I have learnt my lesson, let's try not to make the same mistake'.
Because all humans make mistakes, some mistakes larger then others, some more complicated then others. But that's the only way you are going to learn. I think this interlinked perfectly with the idea of existential crisis because it's showing you that it's okay to have those periods in your life where you are not sure, you feel uncertain and you wish for the better, but you have to take the rain before you get a rainbow right?
Must say though since I had my EC... I feel like Dan has made a lot of clarity in my life that has allowed me to reach out and preach for you today...Thankyou Danisnotonfire.
