After checking to see if Marinette was okay and scolding her for making such a scene, the teacher had everybody write down their name and whose names they received and send it to the teacher by email. She worked diligently to copy and paste them all onto a document, pressing shortcut keys at the speed of lightning and looking up at her computer screen and and back every few seconds.
"Free period," was all she said, not even glancing at the students.
The class erupted in scattered chatter.
Alya whipped out her phone and began tapping away, and Marinette's eyebrows furrowed as she leaned over to look.
"What are you doing?" the blunette asked.
"Hacking," her friend answered bluntly.
"What?!"
"Keep your voice down! Don't you wanna see who got who for Secret Santa?" Alya inquired.
Marinette's gaze traveled to Adrien, and her eyes glued to the back of his head. A blue grew on her face—she tore away from him and looked back at her bestie. "Count me in."
"Alright. Here it is." The ombré turned the small screen towards her to reveal a list of names appearing one after the other. "And look here," she whispered as she pointed at the screen. "Adrien is your Secret Santa."
The blunette was frozen in place, staring at the name like it was the matching numbers on a lottery ticket. I wonder what he'll get me...
