*pairing is optional obviously.

** Also I used American money cuz I don't speak British but you can change that.

Simon is poor. He doesn't like people to notice. At school, He keeps his head down, and never keeps his battered books and binders out on his desk longer than he has to. He often doesn't eat lunch, and when he does manage to buy a meal, he nearly always dumps it in an old Tupperware container for his siblings' dinner. Throughout everything though, he refuses to ask for help from anyone. JJ, a child of an upper class family in the suburbs, notices this. During French class, when he sits directly behind Simon, he leaves a pile of quarters on his desk, purposely ignoring it, walking to the pencil sharpener, pretending to sleep, and staring out the window so Simon will take it. When class ends, only 1 quarter has been taken.

The next day, JJ does the same thing, smiling as his heart warms at the prospect of helping the poor boy. Eventually, JJ replaces the quarters with dollar bills and five dollar bills. Simon never takes anything noticeable, only as much as he needs to feed his family; and JJ is happy to give.

What happens next?

Bonus: JJ went through a phase where he would constantly ask Simon if he wanted money, yet Simon refused every time, loath to admit his weakness. Then, JJ seemed to give up, after which he started placing the quarters on his desk.

Choice: Are JJ and Simon friends? Or maybe Simon hates JJ for being so privileged. It's up to you what their relationship is.

Choice 2:
1. JJ confronts Simon about his theft in an empty hallway, not to accuse him of stealing, but to ask him to "please, let me help you."

2. JJ is kind of a jerk, but that doesn't mean he isn't madly in love with Simon. He confronts Simon, but with a smug smirk, and blackmails him, threatening to report Simon to the police if he doesn't go on a date with him.

3. Simon secretly knows that JJ is purposely letting him steal the money, and is completely mortified of what he's doing. As always, he saves whatever money he doesn't need for food, and ends up using it to find a decent paying job, maybe at a coffee shop or restaurant. He works as much as he can, accepting infinite overtime shifts and doing extra cleaning. Eventually, he manages to compile as much money as JJ lent him (bonus if Simon has kept a record of every single cent he owes JJ), and brings it to school. When he sees JJ in the hallway, he promptly faces him, blushing madly, and shoves the money against JJ's chest before turning and running away. (Epilogue possibility: JJ starts frequenting Simon's shop and requesting him as a waiter. Afterwards, he always tips Simon like $20 for what was a $10 scone and coffee

4. JJ, once again, corners Simon in a hallway, and accuses him of stealing. Simon splutters out that he'll pay JJ back and that he's already working towards a pay raise- but JJ interrupts him and says "no, I wasn't talking about the money. I was going to say you stole my heart".
