I've said before that Simon would be the kind of bisexual who would flirt with his friends just for bants. Now it's Josh's turn.

Josh is such a traditional, formal person that when he comes to terms with his bisexuality (which I imagine would be a gradual process, and he wouldn't feel the need to come out to anyone), He treats his boyfriends the same way he would treat a girlfriend. He's chivalrous, but sometimes it can get on his partner's nerves; cue the prompt.

The first (and hopefully only) boyfriend Josh has is Lachlan. Their relationship was a long time in coming, anyone could see it from a mile away; Josh talks to Lachlan in a voice he reserves for no one else (he actually does).

When they start dating, Lachlan is consistently in awe of how amazing a boyfriend Josh is. He brings flowers, opens car doors, and comforts Lachlan whenever he's upset. Gradually, though, each of these gestures that were once sweet starts to feel mechanic, and Lachlan starts to realise that Josh doesn't do anything... personal; he always has the stock responses and gifts. He loves his little Lachy, of course, but it seems to the younger like he doesn't even notice his personality, and it's honestly kind of hurting his sense of masculinity.

So Lachlan, instead of running away or breaking up with him, decides to fix that. Josh is a fantastic boyfriend in every other way, he just has to remove the distance.

Choice 1: He starts calling Josh more personal pet names, and bringing Josh gifts he knows the other will like.

Choice 2: Lachlan, feeling terrible about his own masculinity, and not wanting to feel like he's been reduced to a house wife, starts working out, acting more dominant in bed, and denies the flowers Josh brings him with an eye roll and a claim of "what am I? A girl?"

Josh realises, and maybe he has a conversation about it, or maybe he changes instantly (much to Lachlan' surprise) or, better yet, he has to go to another sideman (preferably Vik since he's friends with Lachlan) to figure out what's wrong.

Bonus: For Josh having not even realised the effect he was having. He's doing everything his past girlfriends have loved him for, why wouldn't Lachlan react the same way.
