This happened to my friend at school.
Simon is crying on a bench, waiting for his cab or for his parents to pick him up. He just finished an audition for a musical, but he failed miserably. All of a sudden, someone walks up next to him. They look at each other, and the boy's eyes widen. He kneels next to Simon, lightly grabbing his arm.
"What's wrong? Why are you crying?"
Simon tearfully responds that he failed his audition, and the mysterious person hugs him, whispering that it's ok and that he was sure it was amazing.
He stays until Simon's tears dry, and his breathing slows.
And it's only after he leaves that Simon realises, he never got the boy's name.
