[ Liam's POV ]
I laughed with Danielle, the fog of our breath on the cold wind hitting my face. Her arm was locked in mine as we walked down the lit sidewalk. It was about nine. Not too late to keep a girl out, I suppose. Especially if that girl is Danielle. Niall has called me twelve times, tweeted me seven times, and left ten voice-mails. I have no clue what it is about Danielle that I like, but I like it. She sets me free, makes me feel like a man. And that's what I want. But is it what I need?
"Why do you want to be a dancer?" I asked, slowing our pace to enjoy the time we had together while it lasted.
She thought for a moment. "It's fun." That same raspy giggle escaped her lips again. "I like the outfits and I'm kinda flexible. My mom always told me I have the posture, mind, and heart of a dancer."
"You definetely have the body of one, too," I said, making her blush. She was even prettier when she blushed. The pinkish color on her cheeks made her shine under the moonlight even more than normal, which was just plain beautiful and amazing.
"Why'd you want to be a singer?" she asked.
I thought, searching deep inside my head. That was a fantastic question.. Something you really had to do some soul-searching for. I knew the answer, I just didn't quite know how to say it.
"Because whenever I'm up on that stage...all eyes are on me."
"So you like attention, popstar?" she joked, nudging her body onto mine. We both giggled, more fog appeared.
"No, it's just..." I sighed, deciding to come right out with the truth. "When I'm up there I know people respect me. I know they respect me, love me, fangirl over me, adore me, and know my name. I was always bullied as a kid, and I was too weak to fight back. But the stage set me free. It's like my third home, apart from my flat with the boys and my mother's house. I feel comfortable up there, like I finally belong somewhere, you know? It takes me to another world."
Danielle inhaled. "Wow," she said. "That made my answer look like trash."
I laughed. "No, no! Your answer was great." I smiled at her.
"We should do this more," she replied.
"What? Hang out like this?"
"Yeah.." Danielle smiled. "I'd like that."
"Me, as well," I reassured her with a toothy smile.
"Well, this is my stop." She stopped walking and faced me with a smile. "Thanks. I had a lovely day with you, popstar." She leaned in and kissed my cheek lightly, then smiled and started towards her door. I smiled back and watched her as she opened the door. Just before stepping inside, she turned around and waved at me. I waved back and began my trek back home.
Danielle made today feel so right. I don't know what it is, but I can't get enough of it! My body took over today, but I didn't mind at all.
I opened the door to Harry's flat, looking around suspiciously. I hear an eruption of laughter fill the air, mostly Louis. I followed the noises in the dry air and it led me to Harry's bedroom door. I just prayed Niall wasn't in there before I opened the door. I took in my breath, hoping, praying, waiting. Hoping Niall wasn't in here, praying that he wouldn't be too upset with me, waiting for enough courage to open to the door. A burst of energy shot up my spine and I curiously, yet nervously, opened the door.
My worst fears were confirmed. Niall was there.
"Well, well, well," Harry said with a grin. He was sitting lovingly on Louis' legs in nothing but sweatpants and boxers. "Look who finally decided to show up."
Louis grinned and waved. "LiLi!"
I gave him a rude look. He knew how much I hated that nickname. I stopped myself from cursing at him, knowing it simply was not worth it. My eyes then scanned towards Zayn. He was laying backwards on the bed, laying half off. I smiled weakly at him.
"Hey, mate," he returned with a small smile on his lips.
I then looked to Niall, who quickley got up and rushed past me. Without knowing what happened, I bit my lip and followed him. He was rushing out the door by the time I caught up to him. I grabbed the door handle with one hand and Niall with the other. Now in the cool night air, I pushed Niall gently against the door.
"Enjoy your day?" he asked bitterly.
I would've snapped back, but didn't. He was in pain, I could tell. "Niall, I can explain."
"Then explain!"
I took a deep breath. "I really didn't plan on ditching you." I sighed, thinking of anything to say to make him less upset with me. "But Danielle called me and asked to hang out."
"So you just said 'Oh, sure, babe! I'll ditch my boyfriend for you'?!" Niall asked, pushing me backwards a bit. Boyfriend. That word reflected like a mirror through my mind. I went through a lot of trouble for that title, boyfriend, and I would do anything to keep it.
"Babe, I am so sorry. It won't happen again, I swear!" I exclaimed, stepping closer to Niall again. The porch light shown miserably on Niall's fair skin. His bright blue eyes pierced inside of me.
"You promice?" he asked.
"I promise, Nialler. And your Liam doesn't break promices." I stroked his cheek gently as his eyes regained life. His entire body perked up in happiness as I leaned in to kiss his lips softley.
Niall pulled away. "My Liam, eh?"
I smirked with a nod and eyed his face, hungry for his lips. He senced my neediness and pulled me close, our chests pressed together. I could feel him pull up a bit on the tippy-toes of his Supras. I kissed him once more and grinned, enjoying this moment. I made a promice, and I honesly don't know if I can keep it. I would try desperalty, though. Anything for Nialler.. Anything.
