I woke up bright and early the next day, I took a shower, made breakfast, cleaned up a bit! Now usually I wouldn't do this because I'm always so busy!!! ...and lazy.
But today was a special day! I was having all my siblings over and our parents... so they could see Lilac! Even Vylad is coming, and he said he was going to bring someone! I can't wait to see who!
I was humming as I finished tidying up my living room. I heard a loud yawn. I turned to see Laurance standing in the doorway, still half asleep. "What are you doing!?" I fussed.
"Huh?" He mumbled.
"You need to go change and shower!" I snapped.
"Why?"
"OUR PARENTS ARE COMING OVER!!!" I growled. His eyes widened and he bolted upstairs. I followed him, but went into Lilac's room where she was dressed in jeans and a t shirt, making her bed.
"Good morning mommy!" She smiled brightly.
"Good morning, what are you doing?" I smiled.
"Making my bed! Is Uncle Zane going to be here today!?" She asked, excitement glistening in her eyes. By now we figured out that Zane was her favorite so far.
"As a matter of fact I think he is!"
"Really!?"
"Mhm, and there's breakfast downstairs. C'mon I'll fix you a plate!" I brought her downstairs and we started to eat breakfast.
"Mommy is Uncle G going to be here to?"
"Yes and so is your Uncle Vylad and Aunt Cadenza!" I smiled. "And your grandparents!"
"Yay! ...Wait I have another uncle besides Uncle Zane and Uncle G?"
"Yes you do. He just doesn't live as close as the other two." I nodded.
"Okay! When are they going to be here?"
"In about fourth minutes, but Zane and Garroth usually come earlier, unless they forgot to wake up." I smiled.
"Good morning my lovely wife and daughter!" Laurance smiled with dripping wet hair as he walked down the stairs.
"Nu uh!!!" I snapped, standing up.
"What? What did I do?" He asked, looking around.
"Go dry your hair! You act like you were raised in a barn!"
"Well technically I was," he sighed.
"Please go dry your hair." I pointed back up the stairs. He walked back upstairs to dry his hair and I sat back down.
"Mommy, why did you tell at daddy?"
"Because daddy knows better than to walk around my house with dripping hair."
"Isn't it daddy's house too?"
"It will be when he starts to help pay the bills," I rolled my eyes.
"Oh... Mommy?"
"Yes?"
"Can I go to school?" She looked nervous.
"Oh... I haven't even thought about that."
"About what?" Laurance asked as he walked downstairs with dry hair.
"School," I bit my lip. He started to fix himself a plate and sat down next to me.
"Why would she need to go to school. I can teach her!"
"You are not going to teach her," I glared at him.
"Why not?"
"Because do you remember how you handled school? Do you even remember half the things you learned?"
"I remember everything from college!"
"She's going to go to school," I sighed. I picked up my plate along with Lilac's and brought them to the sink to wash them.
"What school will I go to?" She asked, standing up. I looked over at Laurance. I would have liked to send her to the school he went to, but it closed, the whole district closed. I thought for a moment.
"She can go to O'Khasis Prep."
"We can not send our daughter to a prep school." Laurance said standing up.
"Look I know how you feel about that school, but it's the closest school and it has a good education and I went there and it wasn't the worst!"
Ding Dong.
"Lilac, sweetie will you get that?" I asked.
"Mhm," she nodded and ran to the door, opening it. "Uncle Zane!" She screeched, jumping into a hug. Zane and Garroth walked in, smiling.
"Hello brothers," I smiled.
"Her baby sis!" Garroth smiled brighter.
"Just a question, does anybody know who Vylad is bringing?" Zane asked, setting Lilac down.
"Probably a girlfriend or something," Laurance shrugged.
"Oh my Irene, I didn't even think of that!" I laughed. That would be... awesome! Vylad getting girlfriend before the both of you? I guess the younger kids get first." I teased.
"Older in my family," Laurance smirked. He set his plate down on the counter, kissing my cheek. I smiled.
"By the way when are you three going to actually get jobs?" I asked, pulling my hair out of my face.
"I tried!" Garroth complained. "Dante's advice didn't work." He shuttered.
"I would rather take advice from the Warlock than Dante," I rolled my eyes. I felt everyone's eyes on me.
"Who's the Warlock?" Lilac asked.
"Sweetie will you go upstairs for me, just for a minute so the adults can talk?" I asked. She nodded and ran upstairs.
"What do you mean by take advice?" Zane asked.
"Well whenever I see him he always tries to tell me things before I decide not to listen... haven't I told you guys already?"
"No!" They all snapped at me. I blinked.
"Right I told Vylad."
"Are you-"
Ding Dong!
I walked over to the door and saw Cadenza, Hayden and Aliese(Laurance's mom, pretend). "Hi!" I smiled, letting them inside. We all stood there awkwardly.
"So where's Lilac?" Aliese asked.
"Oh, upstairs. Lilac!" I yelled.
"Why are you calling for a baby?" Hayden asked.
"Just wait." I whispered through gritted teeth. Lilac came down the stairs smiling.
"Yes mommy? AUNT CADENZA, GRANDMA, GRANDPA!!!" She smiled. Aliese and Hayden turned white... and Aliese passed out, but I caught her. Cadenza looked slightly confused.
"(Y/N)? What's going on here?" Hayden asked.
"Well remember when I was in high school and Laurance and I were dating and I kinda sorta had that strange power?"
"Yes."
"Well there's a story to that power, I promise to explain, but we need my parents here too. I don't remember all of it." I explained.
"Okay. When will they get here?"
"I don't-"
Ding Dong!
"Now I assume."
