I felt a light tap on my shoulder, causing me to turn over in bed and see Lilac standing there. She looked so miserable. "Mommy, I don't feel good." She mumbled. I sat up and felt her temperature.

"Oh you're kinda warm. Here let's get you some water and a warm cloth." I lead her back to bed and turned on her light and pulled a cloth from the void and placed it on her forehead.

Then I walked downstairs to get some water. I brought it back up and set it on her bedside. "Now just rest okay?" I smiled softly.

"Okay mommy..." she nodded and closed her eyes. I left her door open a bit and walked back to my room and shook Laurance awake.

"Wake up!" I whispered. He rolled over and looked at me, looking very pale.

"Hmm?" He hummed.

"Your daughter is sick." I whispered. He nodded and stood up quickly and ran into the bathroom. I sat there for a moment and turned to look at the bathroom door. "Laurance are you okay?"

I didn't hear a response so I stood up and walked over to the bathroom and saw him leaning over the toilet. I walked over to him and felt his forehead. It was warmer than Lilac's. I made him face me. "Are you okay?" I asked.

"Sick." He mumbled. I kissed his forehead and stood up.

"I'll go get you some water." I walked downstairs and fixed a glass of water and heard the doorbell ring. I sighed and quickly threw my hair up in a messy ponytail and threw the door open. "Hi Zane."

"You sound down."

"Lilac and Laurance are both sick."

"Oh no Lilac's sick!? We need to-"

"Zane breath. She's fine, she's resting right now."

"WE NEED TO GET HER A DOCTOR!!!"

"She. Is. Fine." I said drawing the words out.

"I'll help you!" He yelled, pushing me a side. I sighed angrily and slammed my door closed. I grabbed the water and went upstairs, fuming. I went into the bathroom and slammed the glass on the counter, angrily... it shattered.

I groaned and started picking up glass and cut my hand I cursed angrily and slammed my hand on the floor, cutting my hand more. I watched the blood drip on the floor. I bit my lip and scooped up all the glass throwing it in the trash.

I held my hand under warm water and looked into the bedroom to see Laurance passed out on the bed. I smiled softly and felt my hand warm up. I quickly snapped my head down and saw my cuts closing up.

I furrowed my eyebrows together and dried my hands and walked over to the bed and sat down next to him. I moved his hair from his sleeping face and kissed his forehead.

Zane walked into the room, "are you okay!? I heard glass break!"

"I'm fine," I showed him my hands. "All gone."

"Okay good!" He nodded.

"How's Lilac?"

"Sleeping." He informed me. I stood up.

"Would you like to go downstairs as these two rest?"

"Sure." We walked downstairs and sat on the couch. I felt my phone buzzing in my pocket, I quickly picked up.

"Hello?"

"Hey! (Y/N)! Where are you! You're supposed to be at the bakery!"

"Oh, shoot I'm sorry my husband and daughter are both sick! I can probably come in later?"

"Go!" Zane snapped in my ear. I pushed him away.

"That is unless I can find a babysitter-"

"GO!" Zane snapped again. I rolled my eyes.

"Well I got to go. I'll call you later to see how things are going."

"Kay." Then Fallen hung up.

"Why didn't you say you would go?" Zane asked.

"Because I am not going to trust you with my husband and my daughter!" I snapped.

"...Why?"

"Because you despise Laurance and Lilac needs rest and you'll just wake her up and try to take her to the hospital or something. I'd only take her to the hospital if it was necessary!" I sighed.

"It's not my fault you married an idiot." He mumbled. I glared at him.

"Excuse me?" I asked I could feel the licking flames of a fire against my neck.

"I didn't mean it! It was a joke!" Zane quickly replied. I killed the fire.

"Be careful about what you say, hear me? I didn't judge you when you wanted to be a Shadow Knight-"

"Don't bring that up I've changed!"

"Only because you started hanging out with Aphmau! You act like she's the entire reason you're still alive... and you know I've tried to help you with your problems, but just... no!" I yelled.

"The only reason she got me to change was because she's a better person than you, you killer-"

"I haven't killed anyone! If you're trying to compare me to dad-"

"I'm not trying to compare you to dad-"

"That's what it sounds like!" I snapped, holding back angry tears. I kicked my lips and glared at him.

"I'm not trying to compare you to dad," he said more calmly.

"Then what were you implying?" I asked.

"I was implying that you've killed- not fully, but half heartedly."

"What does that even mean?" I asked.

"You've killed the actual shadow knights out of people." He growled.

"That wasn't my fault, I could have let it kill me! You guys could have let it kill me! Why'd you let me live!?" I growled back.

"I don't know, but all I know is you've caused a lot of pain and you don't even realize what that feels like-"

"I don't know what pain feels like!?" I stood up. "You don't know what pain feels like until you're tortured twenty three hours a day for two months! Have had wings sawed off and reattached to you and give birth! Don't get me started Zane Ro'Meave!"

"Let me explain-" he said standing up.

"Get out of my house!" I screamed. He tried to talk, but I grabbed him by the ear and threw him out. "Next time think about what you're going to say, especially to your only sister." I snarled before slamming the door.
