When I woke up I wasn't laying my head on the table anymore, but I was feeling well rested and awake. I sat up groggily and found myself in the back seat of my car. I moved my head to see who was driving. Laurance. "Hey," I mumbled.
"Good morning sunshine!" He laughed and handed me a cup of coffee. I took it watch a small smile and drank it all down to make myself feel more energetic. I adjusted myself to have my back against the door. "You know... I was thinking-"
"Oh boy, where did that lead?"
"Well we've been in a pretty decent zone with the magyks and what not right?"
"I guess... why?" I didn't know where this was going, but I was scared.
"Well at some point things either have to get better... or worse, right?"
"I guess I haven't thought of that." I frowned.
"What do you think's going to happen?"
"I... I don't know. Let's just hope that whatever happens that it will turn out okay." He looked back at me for a moment and smiled, then turned back to the road.
"That's what I'm hoping for." He mumbled.
When we got home Zane called us and said Lilac would be spending the night at his house, which I was completely fine with. I wanted to spend some time with Laurance.
We were sitting on our bed and I laid my head on his shoulder. There was silence filling the air so I tried to do something about that. I pulled his head down and kissed him, which he immediately kissed back. He pulled away and rested his forehead against mine.
"I love you so much." He mumbled. I smiled a little.
"I love you too," I replied and her pulled me into another kiss.
The next morning I woke up to hear a lot of yelling. "Laurance you need to get up!" I heard someone yell on the other side of the door.
I sat up groggily, holding the bed sheets, tightly. The bedroom door swung open and Cadenza stormed in. I shrieked and hid under the covers to hide my exposure. I heard Laurance groan and move.
I poked my head up from the blankets and saw Cadenza staring right at us. I felt my face heat up. "H-Hi," I waved awkwardly.
"Can you get Laurance to wake up and tell him it's bowling night?"
"Bowling night?" I asked.
"Yeah your parents thought it would be a good idea for everyone to get together and go bowling once a month."
"Yeah, okay, and as great as that is do you mind getting out?"
"Why?" She asked.
"Well I'm kind of exposed and you're making me slightly uncomfortable... so." I laughed awkwardly. She nodded and headed to the door, but stopped in the doorway.
"Did you use protection?"
"...No." I mumbled. "HOW'D YOU EVEN GET IN MY HOUSE!?" I yelled. She shrugged and closed the door. I huffed and grabbed my pillow and smashed it against Laurance's face until he woke up.
"I'm up!" He said sitting up, rubbing his eyes.
"Yeah so is your sister!" I fell back onto the bed.
"Did she call you?"
"More like broke into our house to tell us we're going bowling tonight."
"Yeah... that wouldn't be the first time," he laughed. I punched him and stood up to get dressed. I put on some jeans, not the mom kind and a (Fandom) shirt. I noticed that Laurance had fallen asleep again.
I sighed and flopped down onto the bed next to him and kissed him, which woke him up. He smiled at me. "Go to work!" I pushed him off the bed and stood up to go to work myself.
When I got to the bakery Marie was at the counter with Vylad leaning over the edge talking to her. I rolled my eyes, smiling and walked over to them. "When are you two just going to kiss?" I teased. They both turned red.
"U-Uh," Marie started.
"I was kidding," I laughed. She nodded.
"Well I have to go to work, will I see you tonight at bowling?" Vylad asked. She nodded and I fangirled a bit as I walked into the kitchen to make... an anniversary cake, fall cookies, a birthday cake and... something... oh pastries I guess.
I shrugged. "Hey Marie! Want to come help me?" I asked. She poked her head into the kitchen.
"R-Really!?" She smiled.
"Yeah!" She came in and we started with the cake, which we finished in three hours and then made the cookies and pastries at the same time and it all came out... perfectly.
I was quite satisfied with the work we had completed together. I smiled at Marie. "Would you like to be working in the kitchen with me from now on?"
"Yes!" She nodded excitedly. I nodded and we locked up and headed our separate ways. When I got home I saw Lilac sitting on the couch reading a book.
When I closed the door she looked up. "Mommy!" She smiled and ran over to me.
"Hi sweetie!" I smiled, pulling her into a hug.
"Mommy can we make something to bring for grandma and grandpa!?" She asked. I checked the time. It was only three thirty.
"Sure! What do you want to make?"
"Muffins!" She squealed. I laughed and we went to the kitchen and made (Any Kind Of Muffin) muffins. Then we used the baskets that I produced with my magyks and we folded over the top a plaid cloth. Like in the movies.
Lilac was jumping around the kitchen when we were done, with a metal bowl on her head and a wooden spoon in her hand. "We made MUFFINS for grandma and grandpa!!!" She said excitedly.
I laughed and picked her up, spinning her around as we kept singing that. When I heard the door open I set Lilac down and we pretended we were cleaning up. Laurance stuck his head in the kitchen. "What smells so good ladies?"
"Nothing," I replied, holding back a smile.
"We mad muffins for grandma and grandpa!" Lilac smiled brightly.
"Does daddy get one?"
"No!" She replied, hiding the baskets behind her.
"Well fine then. I didn't want one." He said before sauntering out of the kitchen.
