A Maid Café

The next morning after I dropped Lilac off at school I could sense tension at Aphmau's. I drove there as fast as I could without getting pulled over. I pulled into the driveway and jumped out of the car.

I ran up to the door and knocked. Aphmau threw the door open. She was a mess her hair was thrown up in a messy bun, she had a pencil stuck in her hair, bags under her eyes and she was wearing the same clothes from two days ago. "Aph are you okay?" I asked.

"Huh? Oh, yeah kinda... it's just. I was trying to start my own maid cafe and things have been stressful. We found a place to set up, but we've been struggling to set up, and pay taxes and what not-"

"You could have just came to me for help."

"It's okay. Zane's helping me!"

"Please, Zane can't handle his own business, let alone spell the word business." I laughed.

"I HEARD THAT!" Zane yelled from inside.

"WELL YOU KNOW IT'S TRUE!" I yelled back and sighed. "Anyways I know exactly where to start, I own my own bakery you know."

"You do!?"

"Yeah I was thinking about getting a second job anyways, it's too easy and I could always use a little extra money...mainly because Laurance doesn't exactly have a steady job yet, so I'm doing a lot of the heavy lifting right now."

"Great! Do you think you could stop by tomorrow and help me and the guys set up?"

"Sure! I'd love to! And I can handle anything the guys can't!" I smiled.

"Excuse me? I can handle anything!" Aaron laughed as he walked down the stairs.

"Yeah well anything you can do I can do better!" I yelled. He laughed.

"Anything I can do better than you!"

"Please don't sing that song right now!" Aphmau begged. I laughed.

"Okay! Well I can move some of the things there if you need."

"Really!?" Aphmau smiled.

"Yeah. I'm happy to help in any way that I can." I replied.

Aphmau looked over at Aaron and he nodded. He ran into the living room and came back carrying two boxes. Then he ran back and grabbed two more. I grinned and cracked my knuckles. "Seriously that's it?" I asked.

"Yeah so far," Aphmau nodded. I shrugged and picked up all four boxes and started walking with two in each hand.

"I'll be back in a bit!" I smiled.

I finished bringing the boxes to the place and walked back. I walked back into the house a flopped onto the couch and passed out from using my magyks to carry the boxes.

When I woke up the light was shining simply through the windows. I sat up and walked over to the windows Dow to see the sun rising up into the sky. "Oh shoot!" I yelled. I ran upstairs and threw on a black tabletop and (Any Color) shorts.

Then I ran drove to the building. I heard my phone ringing in my cup holder and picked it up and answered. "Hellu~?"

"Hey Babe!"

"Hey Laurance!" I smiled. "Why didn't you wake me up?"

"Because you looked so peaceful and I couldn't bring myself to do such a horrible thing to my sleeping beauty!"

"Stap!" I laughed.

"I dropped of Lilac, where are you headed?"

"I'm going to go help Aphmau set up her maid cafe. Maybe someone could get a job there. Hint, hint."

"Uh... yeah you're probably right!"

"Aren't I always?"

"Sure. Well I'm going to head to my current job. When does the cafe open?"

"Probably in a couple days."

"Cool I'll give my boss a weeks notice."

"Good! I'll see you tonight, bye!"

"Bye babe!"

I hung up and tossed my cup into the counsel. I stopped at Starbucks to grab a few cups of coffee and headed straight to the cafe.

When I got there everyone was giving each other, "the look". Except Gene... wait Gene!?

I bit my lip and forced myself to walk in. "Hey (Y/N)!" Aaron waved.

"I-I b-brought c-c-coffee," I raised it up.

"Cool!" Aphmau smiled. Every one came over and grabbed one. There were still extras because I didn't know who was all going to be here. I walked over to Aphmau.

"Why's Gene here?"

"Well he's going to work here!"

"O-Okay... well what can I do for you?"

"Could you possibly start painting and maybe hand some decorations like some lights and what not?" I snapped my fingers and the walls were painted light pink and it was dry too. I heard Aaron growl.

"Seriously (Y/N)!? We just bought all the paint for nothing!?"

"No. Check the buckets!" I laughed, flipping my hair. He checked all the buckets which were empty. "And look outside!" I smiled.

They all ran outside which was also the same color as the inside. Aphmau and Kawaii~Chan both squished me in a bear hug. "Thank you so much Author~Senpai!"

"Kawaii~Chan the wall!" I yelled.

"I mean (Y/N)~Chan!" She laughed nervously.

"Now we can get working on the decorations and the logo and the uniforms!" Aphmau laughed triumphantly. I looked into her head and found the logo idea. I snapped my fingers and smirked. Aphmau looked around wildly and saw nothing.

I laughed. "Go look outside again." They all ran outside and I snapped my fingers again setting up all the decorations and table, just as Aphmau wanted.

When they came back from marveling at the new logo they saw all the decorations in place. I took I big drink of my coffee and sat down in my chair. Aphmau ran over to me and like basically murdered me with hugs.

I pushed her back in a tired way and my head fell onto the table, making a heavy pounding sound. I groaned. I was seriously going to pass out. "Thank you so much (Y/N)!"

"It's... no... proble... Aph." I mumbled before passing out on the table.
