We walked over to the park where I saw my mom holding Lilac. I walked over to her. "Hey mommy, I think it's time I head home. Baby's been out almost all day and it's almost her bed time."

"Why don't you just come over for some cake?" She smiled brightly.

"Oh... well I really don't know how I feel about seeing dad right now... we've been talking and well he said something." I bit my lip, taking Lilac. "Laurance would probably like to go with you." I smiled.

"Okay well if you change your mind then don't forget you're always welcome," she pulled me into a hug. I pulled away nodding.

"Thank you. You're just so supportive. I love you mom!" I sighed.

"I love you too sweetie." She smiled. I walked over to Laurance.

"Are you going to go over for cake." I asked.

"Uh... sure. I assume you're not though."

"Well you know me too well," I kissed his cheek. He smiled and nodded.

"Okay. I'll bring you a slice home."

"Thank you!" I hugged him. "I'll see you at home."

"Bye babe!" He kissed me and walked off with the boys. I waved then teleported home.

Lilac was sleeping so I set her down in her crib. "This might be the only good time to get a shower..." I mumbled.

I grabbed some shorts and one of Laurance's t shirts and headed into the bathroom. I turned on the warm/cold water. Waiting for it to be just right.

I stepped in and let the water run over me. I soaked in the feeling. It's only once every few days I have time to do this. I was savoring this moment when I heard a crash downstairs along with countless yells.

I quickly turned off the shower and fiddled with a towel, wrapping it around me then sprinted downstairs. "WHO'S DYING?!?!?!" I screamed.

When I saw Garroth, Laurance, Zane, Aphmau and Aaron all staring at me I felt blush creep across my cheeks.

"Uh... (Y/N) why are you in a towel?" Aaron asked.

"WHY ARE YOU LOOKING!!!" I snapped back. He looked away, his face flourished red. I rolled my eyes and caught another pair of eyes staring. "Laurance..."

"What? Oh sorry!" He looked away. I sighed, shaking my head.

"Okay just a question. Who decided to scare the crap out of me. So much that I ran down here in a towel?"

"Well Garroth broke the door, but he also announced that we have houses to move into!" Aphmau smiled brightly. I sighed.

"Finally!"

"What do you mean finally?" Zane glared. "Have you been doing something that I should know about?"

"Nothing new," I shrugged. I heard Laurance snort and everyone kept looking between us.

I heard a loud cry erupt from upstairs. I rolled my eyes. "Laurance it's your turn."

"Really?" He muttered. "But you're the mom, and you're supposed to be better at this kind of stuff."

"Yeah but I'm all wet... I need to finish my shower."

"Fine." He pouted then walked up the stairs and I followed him, getting a weird look from Zane. When we got upstairs Laurance turned to me a pressed his lips against mine. "You know I love you right?"

"You know I love you more." I kissed his nose and headed into the bathroom. Locking the door behind me. I got back in and finished enjoying this experience.

I know I make it sound like a luxury, but right now for me, it really is my own little paradise.

I stepped out and dried off, changing into the clothes I brought in earlier. I pulled my damp hair back to keep it out of my face.

I walked into the room to see Laurance laying her down in the crib. I smiled and walked over to him, leaning my head on his shoulder. "You're a pretty good dad."

"You're a pretty good mom."

"You know I think we're starting to understand this parenting thing." I mumbled, yawning.

"I think you're right... until she turns fifteen." He chuckled.

"Please don't even get me started." I sighed, by trying my face in his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around me, lifting me off the ground and carrying me to the bed. He laid me down then laid down next to me.

"I think we'll do just fine," he gave me a short kiss.

"Me too." I smiled. He interlaced our fingers, staring into my eyes.

"Have you been... okay?"

"I'm fine. What do you mean?"

"Have you been taking your pills?"

"Why would I? I'm happy as I could ever be." I whispered.

"Have you been getting any dreams?"

"Not necessarily. Why, have you?"

"Kinda... remember when you showed me that little flashback when we were on the island?"

"Yeah why?"

"I keep dreaming about that, but only it's all different. I hear gun shots, two separate screams. Several cries, but I can't see anything. It's almost as if someone's playing a tape recorder in my head, but everything I close my eyes... all I can see is blood stained on my hands. I don't know what it's from." He looked like he was panicking. I placed my other hand on his cheek.

"It'll be just fine. Trust me. Has anything too bad happened yet?"

"What would you consider 'too bad'?"

"Death," I looked over.

"Then no I guess we haven't... but that doesn't mean we won't."

"Hey, look. Just because times for us always seem dark, doesn't mean they are. Okay? We just need to worry about the now. Then worry about the later when it comes time."

"Okay?"

"So for now you just need to worry about your daughter. And you and me," I smiled. He pulled me into a long, lingering kiss and I was melting.

I pulled away for a breath. "I think that's a start," I breathed.

"Good. Now closer your eyes. I can tell you're tired." He instructed. I nodded and closed my eyes.
