Isaac stood in front of Mark, looking over his head and into the sliding glass kitchen door. He noticed that there was commotion, and heard people laughing inside the house. Mark smiled warmly at him, overjoyed that his party seemed to be a success so far, unaware of what exactly was causing the uproar of laughter in the kitchen, but for once, not bothering really. So long as people were having a good time, he was care free. His back was turned to the door, and he felt no need to turn and see what was going on.

It was a different story for Isaac however. He looked into the house in shock. Mark's words had been drowned out by his thoughts and the people laughing in the kitchen. He had noticed green hair. He saw Will and Eli slightly through the window, each holding empty pails, and then he saw the front door slam, followed by another round of laughter and cheering. He looked to his left. Felix was talking to a girl he had never met before. He looked to his right. Josh was sitting with his girlfriend, running a hand through her dark hair. He had completely forgot about Mark, who was looking at Isaac hopefully, obviously awaiting a response to whatever he was saying.

"S-sorry Mark." Isaac stuttered, his words coming out slow and solemn. "I gotta use the bathroom right now, I'll be back!" He faked a smile, one that seemed to succeed in satisfying Mark's concerned gaze, as he brightened up, and walked over to speak to another of his guests, probably asking whether they were having a good time.

Isaac began to walk towards the door in the kitchen, he wasn't stopped in his tracks, for which he was thankful. He turned the door handle tentatively, and entered the room, a strong scent of maple syrup hitting his nostrils immediately. He looked to the spot where Eli and Pete were cleaning, Will and Blake standing over them, snickering about something. He walked past them, heading to the toilets. Obviously Pete must have dropped a glass or something.

As he was passing the four, however, he overheard Will and Blake talking about Jack.

"Did you see his face? It was crimson! He was so angry!" Blake exclaimed, a jolly smile on his face. Will looked to Blake smugly before leaning in.

"That green haired freak got what he deserved." He said, his expression stone cold and unforgiving.

Isaac assessed his surroundings once again when he heard what Will had said. He looked to the floor. It wasn't alcohol Eli and Pete were mopping up, it was far too thick. He looked to the buckets in the corner. A syrupy liquid dripped down the side of one, and feathers coated the inside of another. It suddenly clicked what had happened. Isaac's face reddened with anger, and he shot a glare at Will before swiftly leaving the room and heading for the front door.

He was almost running when he stormed out the door, and his body crashed into another, sending the two toppling forward into the front yard, Isaac landing on top and beginning an apology before he realised who it was. Ken looked up at him, confused and irritated.

"Again?" He said dramatically, gesturing to the ground, indicating that he had probably fallen over at another point during the night.

Isaac glared at him, trying to pull off his most sinister look, and perhaps succeeding, as Ken looked up at him guiltily, his eyes apologetic. Ken must've realised that Isaac saw what had happened in the kitchen. It wasn't worth it, talking to Ken. Isaac removed his body from Ken's and stood, mumbling an apology once again for knocking him to the ground, but genuinely angry. Of course Ken had something to do with this, he was a part of that group.

He stormed down the street, heading directly for Jack's apartment, ignoring Ken's voice calling to him, and rounding the corner at the end of the street.

"Wait! Isaac!" Ken yelled desperately, before giving up and dropping his voice to an irritated whisper. "He went the opposite way." He said under his breath, getting to his feet once again, and debating whether to head home or stay at this god forsaken party, in the end deciding that his bed was just too tempting an offer. He couldn't enjoy this night even if he had won the lottery. He headed in a different direction from where Isaac and Jack had previously went, and trudged back home, broken and feeling defeated.
