The Secret- Part 23

Hello,

Maria here. Just came back from school. At 11am I was in french class. Steve and I were in the same class and we sat quite close to each other.

'Everyone, we are going to do some French drama today. You will be put in pairs and you will do some acting in french.' Miss Flack smiled.

Everyone around me groaned but I smiled as I stared at my book. I love french and I like drama too so it was a great combination.

'Now.. I would like.' She looked at her book and read out the pairs. 'Fred and Lucy, Darren and Laura and Maria with Steve.' She smiled at us.

I frowned, I quickly put my hand up and said, 'Erm.. Miss, is there any possibility I could go with someone else?!' I raised my eyebrow.

'Yes... But then that would loose you marks.' She smiled. 'Are you willing for that to happen?!' She asked.

I sighed and looked at Steve. He smiled at me and I rolled my eyes at him. I looked at miss again and shook my head.

'Ok, now everyone please sit with your partners.'

I got my books and bags and moved next to Steve.

'I'm glad we've been put together!' He smiled.

I pulled a face at him and carried on listening to Miss Flack.

'I'm just so happy, you know.' He whisperd.

I ignored him again and carried on listening.

'So.. do you have any ideas on what we could do?' I ignored him again.

'If that guy says one more word, I swear I'll strangle him!' I thought.

'I'm so h-'

'WILL YOU SHUT THE COOKIE ALREADY?!' I yelled at him.

Then... Then I realised I said it louder than I was meant to.

'Damn!' I thought.

'Sorry, I'm so excited in doing this project. I've started acting already. Ha-Ha.' I faked a laugh.

'I know you're excited, Miss Davis but please wait a few more minutes.' Miss Flack said.

I nodded my head.

After a few minutes later we got to work. We started writing phrases and ideas down for the play.

'You're so pretty, Maria.' He smiled.

I blushed and frowned at him, 'Steve, I'm not here for compliments. Get on with your work!' I yelled at him.

We got on with our work. I'm not pretty, I'm ugly! I don't get why he said that. Probably just wanting attention :-/
