Lafayette's POV~

I can't believe it. Abi is engage to another man. Is this an arranged marriage? How odd I don't think Alexander is in an arranged marriage, he's always looking at the ladies, but I can't I am...how you say? Head over heels for Abi, no this can't be happening, I must know who she's engaged with, I must kill him, or at least, make him pay, but I noticed how Alexander is looking at Laurens and Abi, how dare my freckled friend dare take my amour, he knows how much I love her

Flashback-half a hour ago~

The smell of liquor was strong, laughing was everywhere, a couple of ladies pass by the table

"Ooo does ladies look helpless, NOT HAHAHA." Alex said

I couldn't consider the thought that another woman was better than Abi,

"Alex, man I'm married and I have eight kids, I don't got time for that type of stuff." Hercules said

Then Laurens spoke up

"Yeah I'm not interested, I mean I do got a wife and a daughter but I'm not really interested in a relationship anyway."

Alex than turned to me

"What about you? Single? Dating? Married? Engage?"

"Actually I have a...how you say? A girlfriend in France."

"Ooo nice Lafayette."

I can't believe I lied, I have to tell someone, then Alexander stood up,

"well imma get some beer, anyone like some?"

I said yes, Mulligan and Laurens too, then Mulligan decide to used the rest room, this left Laurens and I alone,

"You know John."

"Yeah."

"We don't really talk, how about we talk about are selves and get to know each other."

"Uh, sure, I'll start, my name is John Laurens, I think we should have equal rights for the colored, and I have a wife in England and a daughter."

Okay, it was my turn

"Well I am Marie Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert du Montier de Lafayette, and I am from France, I am an orphan, and I Don't have a girlfriend but I'm interested in Abi Hamilton."

Laurens chocked

"YOU REALLY?!? Oh nice, I swear I don't like her, and I won't tell anyone."

End of flashback~

Hmm...according to my memory, Laurens is Married, but he's not really interested in his marriage, maybe he is cheating on his wife? Oh how dare he take my Amour and cheat on his wife while he has an infant child, oh he's gonna pay the price for this.
