Abi's POV~

After the whole ordeal, I decided to let Emma rest and I myself too. I opened the curtains and I pulled a chair. I closed my eyes and I let myself drown in something that I hadn't had in a long time. Sleep. But the ordeal played over, over, and over again in my head. Emma is lucky. The wound was barely an inch away from her heart. She is so lucky. But there was so much blood. Just the thought—it just—I can't take the sight of blood. I shiver at the thought. I wish I had Laf, to comfort me. Or at least be here. But be careful what you wish for. Suddenly, I heard a blood curdling scream. I shot up and I saw Lafayette standing outside the curtain that covered where Emma was. I ran pass him and I swung open the curtains and I saw nurse Wilma screaming. I asked her what's wrong. Since I've cleaned up all the blood and stuff.

"H-he's a-a s-s-sh-he?!?" I silently cursed. I forgot to put the other bandages to cover the other ones so she looks like a boy!

"No-no-no-noo- you're just to tired this Emmanuel, a boy not a girl!" I tried to reason with her, but she shook her head.

"I-I know what I saw! I'm telling the General!!!" She dashed at of the curtain and Lafayette entered.

"So Emmanuel es une fille?" He raised an eyebrow. Dang that looked handsome. But there was other things at hand!

"Y-y-NO—I MeAn yes—no! No I mean yes!" It took me a bit not to tell. But it took him about five minutes to transmit that in his head. I turn to Emma who just woke up. What the hell?!? Didn't a goat legitimately just screamed right in your ear.

"What happened?" Shoot, I have to tell her.

"Well-um Lafayette and the nurse know now." She awed and went back to sleep. Then she suddenly shot and panted.

"T-t-they k-Know n-n-now?!?! Oh no!!!" She was about to get up from the cot. I pushed her back down lightly into her cot.

"Washington has a heart. He'll let you stay. Also, I can tell him what Burr the scum of the earth did to you and how you got here."

"W-well, my reason I joined the army is because. I was sick and tired of my mom's loyalist stuff and I decided that I'll give her a piece of my mind. I told her that I'm for the cause and also something else came out. I told her I like boys and girls equally." I can't believe she bombarded me with all this. I never knew.

"Washington, might let you stay. He gave me a chance, why shouldn't he give you a second chance?" She looked up.

"Do you really think so? Abi you're the best friend I could ever wish for!" She hugged me, but I reminded her that lightly since her stab wound was in her chest.

"Yes! I think so! I mean I've never really had girls as friends, just guys. But you're my best friend too!"
