Abi's POV~
Ah~ the day of Alex's wedding. But I feel like hell. I feel nauseated and tired. Probably that cold that everyone at the camp is getting, finally reached me. Well that's nothing to worry about... Finally my brother is growing up!!!! The wedding is in two hours and he's literally biting his nails to the numb, and reciting everything over and over again.
"My dearest Eliza *nibble* I promise that *nibble* that I will—" He was about to but his fingers once again in his mouth but I slapped his hand away.
"You need to stop doing that! What wife would want a husband without his fingers?!" I held his wrist to show him how red and gross his fingers looked.
"True, but you don't know how it feels to be a bride?!? Well in my case a groom, but still! You don't understand!" I clenched my fist ready to say—
"Hamilton! Washington wants to talk to you!" Said the drummer boy, what's his name again?
"Alright I'll be there!" Alex said as the drummer boy dashes out. He turns to face me.
"Abi, what could Washington want from me? Especially on my wedding day? This is weird... Remember if someone finds my dead body tell them I want to be buried on the battlefield!" Alex quickly dashed out of the tent. I sit down and place my head on my hand. This is really happening?
*~*time skip*~*
So the ceremony is suppose to take place at camp and this priest that's serving here is going to be the officiant. I walk towards the place where it was once woods now cleared for this ceremony. I walk towards the priest as he re-reads his bible.
"Hello Father O'Donelly!" He turns my way as he looks away from his bible.
"Abi! How are you and Lafayette—"
"Father! Come quick someone's having cold feet!" The drummer boy, whatever his name is, said to Father O'Donnelly.
"Tell Elizabeth I'll be there!"
"Actually, sir it's A. Hamilton that's having cold feet!"
"Oh, tell him I'll be there—" I stop him mid sentence.
"Father! I can help him! You stay here and greet the others." I said as I quickly ran towards the tent and I saw Alex sitting on his cot, looking down.
"Alexander, what's wrong?" I sit down next to him, my dizziness haunting me again.
"It's just, I can't believe that I'm getting married to Eliza."
"Alexander Hamilton!" I slap the back of his head. "I can't believe you are saying that when the drummer boy ran over to us like hell was chasing him to tell us you had cold feet, then I ran even faster than he did, like the devil himself was trailing me!"
"No Abi it's not like that! It's just I'm so—so—so... Damnit! I'm at a loss with words to describe this!" I gawked. Oh my gosh, for once he doesn't have words to say. This is bad. There was only one time when something like that happened to Alex.
"Alex! Remember that time when you broke your arm and you had to go to the creepy dentist-surgeon Mr. Whitehead?" He shuddered at the thought.
"Y-yeah."
"And what did you do?"
"I-uh did it because I wanted to be able to use my arm."
"Yes, you did. And what did you tell me before you were going the dentist-surgeon?"
"It's not always easy to do something scary or difficult, but in the end, it'll pay off."
"Their you go!" I clapped my hands together. "You just solved your problem on your own! So go get married to the girl!" I slapped his back as he got up from the cot.
*~*after the wedding*~*I watch Alex and Eliza dance together on the grass. I look down at my hands, then I saw a pair of long legs in front of me. I look up to see Lafayette.
"Missing your brother?" I nod, he outstretches his hands to me and I grab his hand softly and stood up.
"May I have this dance Madame?" He placed his hand on my waist, while I places my hand on his shoulder. We waltz a bit but he almost stepped on my toes, I waltz more with him till we got closed to my brother. He tapped Eliza's shoulder.
"May I have this dance Madame Hamilton?" She accepted and looked at Alex as I had to snap my fingers to make him notice me.
"Alexander! Can I have this dance?" I asked when he placed his hand on my waist and mine on his shoulder. We waltz a bit and talked.
"So are you ready?"
"Ready for what?"
"Anything, everything, I'm just saying don't mess this up with her. I think she's the one for you."
"So do I." We ended the conversation and just danced until Eliza asked Alex to go because her toes were squished because of a certain Frenchman. My Frenchman.
