So this is going to start where we left off in the last chapter so onwards!!!

Abi's POV~

I stare at the red Frenchman and I run out of the tent. Why life why? Why did you throw all these hard balls at me and my brother?!?! So my brother is mad at me, and Lafayette is- who the heck even knows what he's feeling?!?! You know what I'm going to take a nice quiet walk- OH COME ON! CAN'T A LADY EVER BE ALONE?!?! Okay the reason I'm screaming is because I see Lafayette running from a distance and screaming my name. Oh gosh, this is going to be more embarrassing than it already is.

"ABI WAIT DON'T RUN!" Dang, he knew what I was about to do. When he was just feet away I just stood there waiting for him.

"Abi, is it true?" He asked.

"What is true? What are you asking me about?"

"What you're brother said, about-"

"Yeah, so why does it matter that it's true." I turn away from Lafayette so I wouldn't have to see him in the eye.

"It does matter, well to me it does Abi."

"Why does it? You don't even love me, you only kissed me because we had everyone's glare at the ball." I scoffed, trying to move away from him, but he took steps forward just to be with me.

"It's because I-I dang it. Je t'aime Abi, okay." He then started to walk away with his head hung low.

"No, Laf I love you too, it's just I got mad because I thought you'd never like me back." I run after him, and I grab his arm.

"You're not lying, are you?" He asked skeptically,

"Why would I lie about something like this?!?!" I screamed.

"Then prove it to me, belle." He crossed his arms in a sassy manner. While I tried standing on my tippy toes to reach his face. Then shyly I kissed him softly on the lips. He blushes at my some what sudden confidence.

"Do you still think I'm lying? Or do I have to prove it again?" I smirk at my own remark.

"Non, I think you're still lying." He said and I was about to kiss him till I heard a twig snap.

"ALEX! JOHN! IF ITS ONE OF YOU TWO GUYS IN THE BUSHES, YOU BETTER LEAVE BEFORE I EAT YOU'RE GUYS' BISCUIT!!" I shouted, but no response. I start getting scared, what if it's red coats? Oh my gosh Laf and I are going to die before we officially court?!?! Man, that's horrible. I'll fight the bloody sucker to death if Lafayette and mine's life depended on it.

"If you're going to shoot, shoot now before I get really mad." Ha, that was my trick. I'll trick the red coat and shot him with my pistol I ALWAYS carry everywhere. EVERYWHERE. I mean EVERYWHERE. But instead, I don't hear a rough British accent I expect, but a young America Colonies accent.

"Please, don't shoot I am here to fight for the cost." Then a whom I assume is a boy with brown hair, brown eyes with an athletic built but slightly small for a full grown male, so maybe a young boy?

"Alright, chap what is you're name and state you're business here?" I asked as I still had my pistol pointed right at him.

"I'm Emmanuel Sherman and I would like to meet with General Washington so I can join the fight."

"How old are you? Washington doesn't want run aways."

"I'm nineteen, practically an adult." I begin to trust this boy easily.

"Alright, I'm Abi Hamilton and this is my- boyfriend- heck he has a really long name call him Lafayette." Lafayette waves his hand, and he waves back.

"Well it nice to meet you two." He curtsy.

"No run along scamp, Washington doesn't always have openings." I push the boy forward and he runs. I turn to Lafayette.

"You don't think I scared him did I? I'm mean I couldn't have possible scared badly I'm actually his age."

"No, you did fine mon amour, let's go talk with your brother." He then slings his arm over my shoulder and we walk towards the tent when we were stopped by Alex himself.

"Lafayette we need to talk."
