I turned off the shower and got out, holding out a towel for May which I wrapped her in when she jumped into my arms.
I gently dried her and myself then got us dressed. I wanted to look after her.
"What do you want to do today baby?" I asked, getting a shrug of the shoulders from my girlfriend in response. "Do you want to watch a film?" I asked, this time getting a very enthusiastic nod from her.
I kissed her lil nose before taking her hand in mine and leading her downstairs to sit on the sofa while I rushed around grabbing popcorn and blankets.
May smiled as I lay the blankets on her and gave her the popcorn before I went to put on a film, (tangled of course, since it's her favourite). Her eyes lit up as she saw the titles of the film roll up.
"BEST GIRLFRIEND EVER!"
This girl is beyond cute.
I grinned and wiggled into the blanket beside her, pulling her close to me and tucking us in as we cuddled and watched the film happily, singing every song.
The film was nearing the end and I watched my girlfriend as she nuzzled into my chest dozily with half closed eyes and her hair loosely falling over her face.
In the simplest and most complex ways, she was beautiful.
"I love you May,"
"I love you too."
