He's my Danger and I'm His.

River's Pov

    Pain shot through me. I opened my eyes and automatically grabbed at my side. the three fights went sorta well. I won all three of them but in the end I got a few cracked ribs. This isn't my first time getting cracked ribs but they still hurt like hell and I don't think anyone could get used to this kind of pain.
    I roll back over to my good side and check the time. It was only 6:00 in the morning. I still had two hours till I had to get Jack and get him ready for school...OH SHIT! I forgot about school, and school means I have to see Ryan.
    Last night I had to fight Ryan. Before we actually fought we exchanged a few words. He realized that I was actually River and I was Ravenwood's school nerd. He only recognized me because of my eyes.
*flashback*
    "So you're the Ravenwood's school nerd." i stood there for a second shellshocked.
    '"I think you got the wrong girl. I'm not a nerd, far from it." I put my hands up getting ready for the fight.
    "No, you're her. What's her name...River?"
    "Sorry sweetheart that's not my name." I began to sweat a little.
    "Stop lying to me River. I only took this fight because I have been keeping tabs on you. Plus your eyes kinda give you away. No one has those hazel eyes like you do. They are very unique." He smirked and put his hands up too.
    "You got me. I'm River. you tell anyone and I will kill you. I'm sure the staff have filled you in on how many people I have killed so far. You say one word and you're gone. You hear me?"
    He nodded his head. "Yes they told me."
    "Good, now I'm going to win this fight and you're going to lose it." After that the fight started.
*flashback over*

    I sat up and worked up motivation to get into the shower. Of course I couldn't get up very well because of my ribs.
    I slowly stood up and walked oer to my closet. I grabbed my sweatpants and an overly sized hoodie, along with underwear and a bra.
    I made my way into the shower and turned on the hot water. Just feeling the water drip down my aching muscle made me relaxed.
    It took me a half an hour to finish my shower and get dressed. I bushed my hair and I decided to put my hair up in bun today. I put on my fake nerd glasses and grabbed you backpack. I headed down stair to find Melena making a smoothie.
    "River I made you one of your- are you okay?"
    "yeah I'm fine I just got a little roughed up. Nothing major. Thank you for the smoothie." Before she could press the issue anymore i grabbed the smoothie and went out the front door. I climbed into my car and I went to go pick up Jack.
    I arrived at Annie's around 7:30. I had half an hour to get me and Jack to school.
I got out of the car and walked carefully up to the door. I knocked and the door flew open.
"RIVER!!" Jack wrapped his arms around me a I almost fell to the floor from the pain, but i did my best to hid it from Jack."
"Hey there Jack. How was your night at Annie's?" I stepped inside and Jack led me to the living room.
"It was okay. We played a lot of games and then it was time to go to bed." Sounded like it was a typical night at Annie's.
We walked into the living room and Annie came over and gave me a careful hug. I gave her a slight smile for a thank you for not squeezing me to death and hurting me even more.
"Hi Annie. Thank you so much for taking Jack for me last night. How was he?" We sat on the couch and the kids started watching cartoons.
"Sweetheart it was no problem at all. Jack was so good. He is very good at the game monopoly by the way." I gave a small chuckle.
"Yeah that is one of his favorite games to play." I stood up so did Annie. "I better be heading out. I really don't want jack and I to be late to school. how much do I owe you?"
"Oh honey don't worry about it. I love having Jack over."

"Thank you so much Annie. If you ever need anything please just tell me." I motioned Jack to go out to the car. I gave Annie one last wave goodbye and I went out to the car myself. 

"River when school is over can we please go get some ice cream?" Jack and I got into  the car and I looked at him through the review mirror.

"Sure thing buddy. How was your night at Annie's?" I turned the key into the ignition and it roared to life.
