[a/n]: I recently just published a book related to Mystic Messenger (IM OBSESSED OKAY.) so it'd be gr8 if it could also get some attention haha. Anyways, enjoy! You can find it on my profile.

All people are the same, I thought while kicking my books into my locker as a girl in my science class flirted with me. I just got inside after smoking a cigarette outside and I was already being flirted with. Though it sometimes felt good to be the center of attention, at this point I was seriously getting tired of it.

I ignored the girl beside me and continued taking my books. I didn't really want to be rude, but I was just really frustrated at the moment. I took a deep breathe as an attempt to calm down.

She noticed this and raised her voice to catch my attention. "S-So... I was wondering... if you'd like to go out sometime, maybe take a walk at the park..." She then tucked her hair behind her ear, and gave a crooked smile.

I had to admit she was stunning, but her name was spread throughout the school like a wildfire. She had a history of pretending to be shy and asking out people and then ending things after they made one mistake.

I tilted my head in confusion. "Why do you want to?" My voice came out nice and steady, to my relief.

She blinked at me and then looked down at the ground. I could tell she was flustered thinking of an answer.

I decided to be nice and flash her one of my charming grins. "Judith." She tensed up hearing her name, slowly looking up my direction.

"I'm honored, but I don't really plan on dating anyone-- yet, anyways," I explain, sheepishly rubbing the back of my neck. She reacted by lowering her eyebrows. "Just remember that there's a lot more to someone than their looks.."

And with that, I simply just took a step back, slammed  my locker closed, and nonchalantly walked away to my last class of the day: study hall. There were murmurs about me throughout the way.

'Oh my god, he's so hot!'

'How is he so handsome?!'

'I'd go gay for him!'

I gritted my teeth when I entered the cafeteria and seated at my assigned spot. I noticed 4 seats next to me a [h/c] girl with a [f/c] backpack.

It was [Y/N].

God, it was as if fate wanted us to be together.

She didn't notice me so I simply greeted her.  "Hey, study buddy." She brought her eyes to me, and formed a confused expression.

Her eyebrows furrowed, "Study buddy?"

I nodded. "Didn't Mr. Hall tell you?"

She takes a binder from her backpack and responds with, "Tell me what..?" She sounded genuinely confused.

I had to give it to her, she was a good actress. Sighing, I gave in.

"That you have to tutor me..?"

She stopped writing, staring down at the table to think. After a few seconds she faced me with the same confused expression. "I think you have me confused for someone else. I'm your partner for the english project, but that's it."

My ears reddened, more in anger than embarrassment. I couldn't help but think she was just like every person I've met. I couldn't help but think she was purposely pretending to be clueless.

She probably requested to help me out, and Mr. Hall just gave in since she was the star student. She's probably in it for the looks. She's probably exactly like my brother.

I was about to burst out and rant at her until I noticed her gaze went to the hallway in front of us. Mr. Hall was walking past the cafeteria, but he realized both of our eyes were on him, which engendered a wide grin from him. I tilted my head, since I've never really seen my teacher grin-- especially at me.

He approached our table, taking a seat from across both of us. "[Y/N]." He faced [Y/N], his smile staying. "I've been looking for you all day."

"Hello," She softly chirped out. "How come?"

He takes a glance at me and then back at [Y/N]. "I'm assuming Hyun has already told you..." His stern voice trails off for a moment. "But you are going to tutor him, and help him catch up with the class so he understands things fully."

A short "oh" was the only response that came out of her mouth. Her [e/c] eyes went down at the table. I did as well, trying to process my thoughts.

"Wait, are you saying you didn't tell her before telling me?" I questioned curiously. Mr. Hall just slowly nodded, wondering why I was asking such a pointless question.

Oh, so she wasn't acting...

There was an awkward silence between the three of us for a moment, until [Y/N] decided to break it. "I see.. I don't mind. Thank you for telling me, Mr. Hall."

Mr. Hall nodded at her, "Yes. I emailed your mom so it should be fine." He turns to me, causing me to tense up. "Now that that's settled, I'm going to head to the office."

We both simply said goodbye and waved. After he exits the cafeteria, I glance at [Y/N], who was working on her science homework.

I didn't really have anything to do for the rest of the period so I just dazed off, getting lost in my own thoughts. Thoughts about the conversation earlier with Mr. Hall. I didn't want to think about it, but my mind kept repeating the same words he had said over and over again.

I was upset because he was technically true. I didn't want to admit it.

My mind wandered off, to the point I thought about ditching the study session with [Y/N].
