You used to believe that you wouldn't be able to feel such strong feelings for someone at your age. You used to ridicule your fellow teenagers in your head who would constantly gush about their girlfriends, or their boyfriends. You used to believe that teenagers were too young to fall in love.

It's funny how fate practically slapped you in the face upon meeting Zen. Your feelings towards him were subtle, but they were there. And slowly, upon getting to know him truly, your feelings grew bigger and bigger.

But could you really blame yourself? Hyun Ryu was the epitome of true beauty inside and out, yet no one understood that.

After eating dinner with your mother and Zen, you quickly washed the dished and informed your mother that you were going to the rooftop with him.

"No funny business," she warned.

You playfully rolled your eyes. "Yeah, sure. Whatever."

You then approached the albino, who was in the kitchen, scrolling through his phone. He notices your gaze and looks up at you. "What's up?"

"Come with me. I want to show you something." Feeling bold, you grab his arm and start walking towards the door to exit the apartment. You looked down at the ground to hide your warm, pink cheeks from him. Oh my god, I grabbed his arm.

Oh my god, she grabbed my arm, Zen mentally panicked, looking up at the ceiling to hide his blush. "U-Uh.. Where are you taking me?"

You don't answer and continue to walk down the hallway, leading to another door. You pulled the door open, revealing a flight of stairs leading to the rooftop.

He looked at you with an incredulous look. "Wait... really...?" You released his arm from your grasp with a sigh, and Zen immediately misses the warmth of your hand.

"I mean.. Yeah. We're friends, right?" You said with an encouraging smile before climbing up the stairs. He follows your lead. When you reach the top of the stairs with him, you're both greeted by a cold breeze of the outdoors.

Hyun could see that you weren't kidding about the view at all. The sky was painted a blue that's nearly black, lit up with thousands of tiny, bright dots throughout the sky. There's a subtle splash of purple, giving the sky some color, and the lights from all the buildings had brightened up the overall atmosphere of the view.

He shivered slightly, not really because of the cold, but because of the beauty that was displayed for him to see with his own eyes.

The air is silent for a moment. You give him a while to truly take it all in. It's a comfortable silence, a type of silence that makes you feel at peace. It was perfect.

You broke the silence eventually.

"It's pretty, right? I go here a lot when I'm stressed. It calms me down all the time," You tell him with such sincerity, it gives him goosebumps.

And with that, Zen's gaze travels to you and he could of sworn the view got better.

Your right hip was nearly touching his left hip as you stood in such proximity while staring the fascinating array of stars. Your skin was glowing from the bright lights of the city, and your [e/c] eyes were pale and full of sentimentality.

You turn to him, forming eye contact for a brief moment. You couldn't maintain the contact, considering how embarrassed and how red your face was.

On the other hand, Hyun was persistent and kept his gaze toward you. He can't seem to tear his eyes away, considering how beautiful you looked in the moonlight.

You let out a deep breathe, in attempt to release all the tension in your body. You try to force a smile, even though you're completely distracted by all the flutterings in your chest.

"... It's funny how we met like, a week ago," You exhale a nervous laugh. "Now we're ditching school together, taking on jobs together, singing Grease songs together, and we're kind of living together. My life has been pretty interesting since you came in it... A good kind of interesting."

He smiles, humming in agreement. "Mine too." You look down at the ground, contemplating what to do next.

"Um.. And I know we made a deal, or whatever.. But you don't have to tell me until you're ready," You tell him, the gentleness in your voice making his heart flutter. "I just wanted to show you this, because, well, I.. um.."

Flustered, you sighed. "Because I like you."

You force yourself to look at him, your face was completely red by this point, your palms were sweaty, but it felt so good to finally let those words out. "And I know we haven't known each other very long, but I feel like I've known you for years.. I've never felt this way about anyone, you know. So consider yourself special."

With that, Zen responded with a delighted laughter. Curse him for not only being the most beautiful person ever, but also having the most beautiful laugh, too.

"I am special, because the smartest, funniest,  kindest, and the most adorable person ever likes me," he says, in between laughs. "And I like her too. So much."

You let out a breathe of relief, "Oh, thank god, I was about to have a heart attack."

He chuckles and wraps his arms around your waist, pulling you into a firm hug. He tucked a strand of hair behind your ear and whispered, "I don't care if it's too soon, or whatever. Just know that you had the ability to be the most important person to me in the course of a week."

Sorry if this sucks. Sorry for taking forever. Idk if anyone still reads this but hope you enjoyed 😅

Also, Zen's birthday is tomorrow ;)
