Tyler's POV
I eventually manage to get josh into the garage, I take a few minutes to find the light switch. It flickers for a bit but finally lights up the whole room, the garage is full of the most random things, from old shoes to abandoned instruments.
"Woah," josh says, his mouth gaping in awe,
"This is so cool!"
"Yeah, sick!" I reply, glad that he likes it.
"Sick?" He asks, looking at me confused.
"Yeah... as in like.... really cool, sick as frick!"
"Hmmm... sick as frick! I like that" he answers, chuckling to himself.
Josh looks around the garage until he suddenly spots something and starts jumping up and down, "you have a drum kit?!? That's so cool... err I mean sick! Sick as frick!"
"Yeah," i giggle, "my brother used to play but then gave up, no one uses it anymore. Do you play?"
"Well... I've always wanted to but I've never been allowed, I used to go to a local instrument shop and play on an electric drum kit there. I'm not really supposed to listen to rock music, just Christian...."
"Oh," I answer, surprised, "well, do you wanna have a go on the drums?"
He sits at the drums, his face scrunched into a cute smile, he picks up the drumsticks and starts to nervously hit the drums. After a few minutes he is fully in the zone, playing as if his life depended on it. I can tell that it means a lot to him, not just being able to listen to music, but create it.
"Woah, that was so sick man!" I say as josh stands up from the drum kit, sweat pouring down his face.
"Haha thanks," he replies, blushing slightly, "I think I got a bit carried away."
"Nahh! Hey... we should start a band! Haha," I propose, trying to sound like I'm joking just in case he doesn't like the idea.
"Yeah that would be pretty fun, I drum you sing.... we'll probably need more people to make this work though," he answers, his face suddenly dropping.
"Well I can also play the piano! And the ukulele... kinda, I've just started learning," I reply quickly, trying to make his happy again.
"Woah, wow yeah," he says astonished, his face immediately lighting up again, until he looks at his watch, "oh god it's 10 o'clock, I'd better go!"
"Oh...okay, lets go," I say as we quickly rush to my car, I don't want his dad be angry with him.
