Josh's POV

Tyler drops me off outside my house, I try and tell him to go before my dad realises but he refuses.

"Nahh, let's just chat out here for a bit, none of the lights are on in there, it's fine!" He says, convincing me to stay out with him."

"Okay, fine. I had a great night by the way, thanks for inviting me over."

"No problem man, it was so sick, thanks for coming! Tonight's been the most fun I've had in a while."

We just chat for a while. Whenever I'm with Tyler I just feel so happy, I forget all my problems and time flies when I'm with him, we could talk forever. He's truly great, I don't know what I've done to deserve him! I'm so happy we're friends and he actually likes me!

"You should really get going now," I say sadly, "it's getting quite late...."

Tyler says goodbye and hugs me, I embrace him and squeeze him tight, never wanting to let go. I can smell his cologne, he smelt amazing, we just stood there together, our arms wrapped around each other for ages, probably for too long, until Tyler pulled away looking embarrassed.

"I should umm go now..." he stuttered and quickly left.

I stand there a few minutes, upset that he just suddenly left. Worried I had scared him off.

Finally, I attempt to climb up the pipe again to my room but I just can't, it's too slippery.

So I have to go through the front door, I bend down by one of our flowerbeds which was just a home for weeds, and rummaged around in the dirt trying to find the spare key which was somewhere under a rock.

Eventually I find it a quickly unlock the door, it's so cold outside that I can barely feel my fingers as I enter my slightly warmer house.

My dad is no where to be seen and no lights are on, I quietly check the living room but still no sign of him. I just hope that he's asleep upstairs.

I try and tiptoe up the stairs without making too much noise but fail miserably. The house is old and all the steps are creaky and broken.

I finally make it upstairs, I don't bother checking my dad's room i just head straight to mine, I can't risk waking him.

I enter my room to see my dad there glaring at me, furious. His face was filled with anger, he looks as if he could kill someone. I'm in so much trouble, I don't know what to say.

"Dad, I-"
