As I'm cleaning up my room my mom comes in and sits on the bed. "What're you cleaning up for?" she asks me. I turn around to look at her, "I'm just cleaning because it's messy." She gives me a look that simply states 'are you kidding me'. She keeps looking at me, "Every time you clean your room you're planning on doing something." She says with a smile. I start to fiddle with a pen I found under my bed, "Weeell, I was going to ask if I could go out tonight. Just for a little bit." She seems to be thinking about it. "With who?" she asks. "Oh just with Connor and Ethan that's all."

She doesn't even think twice when I bring up their names. She really trusts them. She gets up to leave and as she's walking towards the door she tells me, "Just be sure to get home before 10." I smile at her and sit on my bed. She leaves, shutting the door, to go outside for a walk, which is her daily routine.

As I'm sitting there I start to wonder about the whole camping trip surprise. I mean I really would have fun but I don't know anymore. Something could go totally wrong. I've heard a lot of stories where things happen and the people just suddenly disappear. But I mean that wouldn't happen to us, right? Who cares, let's just have fun. We have exactly two days until we leave.

I get up and start to get ready to go. As I'm putting on some shoes I text Connor telling him to come pick me up already. I wonder what he had in mind.

I go downstairs and get a piece of toast so I wouldn't be too hungry. I hear the doorbell ring and quickly go to open the door. "Let's go" says Ethan with a big smile on his face. Well that was surprising. Last time I saw him he wasn't in too much of a good mood. But as long as he's happy, who cares.

I jump into the backseat of the car and out onto the street we went.
