We were just sitting there, scared to move as his dog was going mad. Once Connor had gotten up to check, everything seemed to have frozen. We couldn't hear anything anymore and he said that there was no sign of anything strange happening. Then, he started to walk back to us and we heard something hit the door. It was a very loud thud. I saw Connor quickly rush back to the door to see what had made the noise. Suddenly he fell to the floor and started to barf all over.

Aravis and I were terrified. What could have possibly happened that was that bad. We quickly got up and rushed towards him. As Aravis was trying to get him to tell her what he had seen, I decided to just check myself. Yes, I'll admit I was very scared and slightly shaking because never have I seen my friend react to something that bad. I pull the curtains back carefully and slowly, and take everything that was happening in. There he was. Laying there. Connors dog, covered in blood with all his intestines by his side. It was a horrible sight. He was the most beautiful dog I have ever seen and there, in that one moment he was gone. I couldn't move. I had so many questions going through my head and a sudden rush of panic overcame me.

I heard Connor get up and go towards the restroom. "Look," I told Aravis in a low voice. Aravis slowly got up off the floor and walked towards me nervously. As I stepped aside to let her see what I was looking at, she suddenly gave a loud cry. She stepped back quickly and almost tripped. Tears were falling down her face and she was shaking harder than ever.

"What the hell- how the fuck- what did it- who?"

She didn't seem to have the right words to speak. We didn't know what to do and were scared as fuck. Do we call the police? Do we go outside to see what did this? Do we leave? Just then Connor came back still looking a little shaken but he seemed to have gotten a little more control over himself. He walked towards us and just stood there thinking. "We need to do something quick" he suddenly spoke up. We all stood there in silence not knowing what in the world to do. All we could hear were the low cries of Aravis'.

Then we heard knocking. Aravis stopped crying and everything went completely quiet. Connor looked up suddenly towards the window next to the backyard door. Since all the curtains were shut we couldn't see outside and they couldn't see inside. There was someone in the yard.

We heard the knocking again. "Quick, go to my room." Connor said quietly. Aravis and I quickly made our way upstairs and to his room. A few moments later Connor came back with his phone in his hand. He started to dial a number and waited.

We sat in silence as we hear a loud crash downstairs. Aravis quickly got up and went to lock the door. She was crying and she looked like she was about to shit herself. We were all starting to panic even more and we were so nervous you could feel the tension in the air. "Hello?" I heard Connor quietly say as he was on the phone. "There's someone in my house right now. I'm in the upstairs bedroom and they just broke in. They killed my dog and broke the door to get in, please get here quickly they're armed." Then he paused for a little listening to what the other person on the line was saying. He hung up and started to call someone else.

"Who are you calling?" I asked him. "My parents, who else." He said quietly and quickly. As me and Aravis stood there frightened, we could hear things being broken and thrown around downstairs. Everything went quiet. Connor put his phone down, apparently his parents hadn't answered. We stood there trying to hear where the person had gone. I turned to look at Connor who's eyes suddenly went wide. As I stood there I realized why. We could faintly hear footsteps coming up the stairs. Connor turned to his bed and looked under it. He took out a baseball bat.

"GET OUT." He said quickly to both of us. We looked at him confused and turned to the door. "No you idiots!" he said, then he lowered his voice, "Out the damn window."

We quickly nodded and started to open the window as quickly and quietly as we could. We could hear the footsteps getting closer and closer by the second.
