As I'm driving, Aravis and Ethan are arguing about what music we should listen to on the way to our destination. Okay, they weren't really arguing like in a bad mood. They were arguing but playing around-ish, if that makes sense. The sun is slowly beginning to set and it starts to get a little more windy. "So where are we heading?" asks Aravis who's sitting right behind me. I keep looking ahead but reply, "It's a surprise." I see Aravis and Ethan exchange confused and curious looks.
I wasn't taking them any where special to be honest. I just thought it would be nice to go see a movie. As I'm driving to the movie theatre the whole way there was actually pretty fun. They kept laughing and making jokes and just had really positive attitudes. Finally, we got there and had a hard time looking for an open space to park in. There were a lot of cars there for being a Monday. After a while of looking for a parking space we finally found one. We walk towards the entrance and hurriedly get inside to get good seats. We walk in and it isn't really full. We sat down around the middle. The movie was alright but in my opinion it didn't really get my attention. I'm not going to say what movie because it isn't really that important.
After around an hour we get out of there and head home. "That's all we're doing?" asked Aravis after walking out. I look at her and reply, "Yeah. I'm broke what else do you want." Ethan just quietly walks along besides us. Aravis suddenly stops and looks at us. "What?" Ethan asks. Aravis ignores him and turns to me instead, "Connor, can I drive?" I look at her with a confused expression but agree to the idea anyways. I give her the keys and off we go again to another 'surprise'. I really didn't know what she had in mind but I guess she just wanted to take advantage of her free time, since she's always studying and doing homework.
It was about to be eight and we were still on the road. She's been driving for around 40 minutes now and I'm starting to wonder if she knows where she's heading. I turn to look at her and ask, "You didn't get lost did you?" I hear Ethan in the backseat laugh. Aravis keeps looking ahead and smiles. "Nope," she replies, "Look." I turn to look at what she was talking about and I saw a whole bunch of different colored lights everywhere. "Woah" I mumble to myself. She drives into a parking spot and tells us to get off. "You realize I have no more money right?" I tell her. And Ethan agrees with me. She looks at us and replies, "Don't be stupid, I'm paying of course."
As we walk in it already looks amazing. Theres lights everywhere. It's all so bright and peaceful. We walk around looking at everything enjoying ourselves. Every once in awhile we would see people walk by. We got on rides and ate food. It was pretty amazing. But the night was going by quick and we had to go home already. It was a school night anyways.
