"And Aravis?" I asked her mom as Connor and I made our way into the car. Then she said, "I'm going to pick her up later. In the meantime you guys are going to have to wait over there."

Connor and I weren't really pleased by this new change of plan. The whole ride there I looked out the window towards all the surroundings. We finally got there and I noticed that the wedding was taking place outdoors. It was pretty cold in my opinion. We climbed up these stairs and once we reached the top we saw all the nicely decorated tables and lights. There were big trees everywhere. Aravis' mom left us standing there so we made our way to the farthest table. There weren't too many people yet.

We sat down and didn't talk about anything. Connor took out his phone and stayed like that for the past 20 minutes. By then many more people had arrived and I was getting anxious as to why Aravis was taking so long. "Hey, I'm going to go get some food," I told Connor as I stood up. He put his phone back into his pocket and decided to follow me. We were making our way through the crowd to the back of the place when something caught my eye. I turned back around suddenly as Connor bumped into me. "What?" he asked looking startled at my sudden change of movement. He turned to look at the direction I was facing, to see what I was looking at. At the entrance there was this girl that looked familiar. She looked really beautiful and was wearing a nice black dress. I know I have seen that face somewhere, I just don't know where. Connor suddenly started to walk towards her apparently being able to make out who it was. I followed him keeping my eyes on the girl. Once we reached her I felt my jaw drop and my eyes widened.

"What's up with you?" Aravis asked me.

"Oh uh nothing, nothing."

She gave me a confused look but then shrugged it off. She walked past me and made her way towards the food. I turned to look at Connor, who also looked impressed, and just followed her.

We spent the rest of our time walking around the place talking about anything. Then our trip was bought up into the conversation. "So when are we going to be leaving?" I asked her. She checked her watch, "Well hopefully we'll be leaving in about four hours." Just then a guy that was standing next to the musicians on the side of the dance floor started to speak as everyone went quiet. "Alright, could you all give me your attention please," he started off looking around at the crowd, "we are going to start cutting the cake in a while, but first the groom would like to say a few words." Then all our attention shifted to a guy wearing a tux, who had his attention on his new wife. He started to talk, but my train of thought shifted elsewhere when I heard a low noise come from behind me. I turned around and noticed Aravis staring off somewhere else with a hurt look on her face.

"Whats wrong?" I asked her. She quickly turned to look at me with a baffled expression on her face, "Nothing." she answered quickly. I looked at what she was looking at and noticed a guy standing hand in hand with a girl. They looked about our age. I turned to look at Aravis with confusion, but she had turned her attention to the speaker. Just when I was ready to listen up again, everyone began to clap. We moved along with the crowd towards our table waiting for people to stop going to get cake so we could go, too. I noticed that Aravis was starting to look gloomy. "You good?" Connor asked, realizing this as well. She just looked around the place again and nodded. Obviously the image of the guy holding a girl's hand was bothering her... and the fact that it was bothering her was bothering me.

Who cares if that guy was with a girl! I'm here for her. Who is that guy anyways? Why does Aravis care so much about who's hand he's holding? I clenched my fists as I saw Aravis' eyes glance towards the couple, who were now apparently laughing over something very funny....
