Leia had heard her son shouting, and it snapped her back to reality. She stood up and left the room, headed towards Luke's room. As she turned the corner, Leia saw what was the cause of her son's distress. Her mother was on the floor, blood pooling around her mouth. Footsteps echoed down the hall, and Leia's brother turned the corner. "What..?" Her brother said, but cut himself off as he took in the scene.

Luke bent down to pick up their mother, and turned to Leia. "Where is her room?" Luke asked her, and Leia led him down a couple of twists and turns until they reached their parents bedroom. "Lay her down on the bed!" Leia ordered, and her brother did as she asked. Realizing her son had followed them in, Leia turned to him. "Luke, go get Grandpa and Dad, please," she asked him, keeping her voice calm so he would be calm.

Luke nodded and dashed out of the room, not caring to close the door behind him. Leia approached her mother and her brother, and saw just how bad Padme was doing. Luke had rolled her onto her side, and had a rug underneath her mouth, soaking up all the blood that came with the coughs.

"Padme!" Her father called as he ran into the room. "It's gotten worse, hasn't it?" He panted. Leia nodded. Suddenly there was the sound of fighters flying by, and Leia felt a presence she hadn't felt in six months. Ben..he's here... she thought. Sarah came running into the room, lightsaber in hand. The room was starting to feel very cramped.

"We're under attack! It's The First Order!" Sarah exclaimed. Leia and Luke looked at each other, knowing what they had to do. "Alright, we've got some X-wings out in the hangar, Sarah, Luke, you'll be with me in those. Han, can you and Chewie use the falcon? And you, my precious boy, you stay with grandpa where it's safe," Leia bent over to plant a kiss on her son's cheek.

"Now move!" Leia exclaimed, and they all went to where they needed to be. As Leia, Sarah, and Luke ran down to the hangar, Sarah spoke up. "Hey Luke, you any good at flying?" Luke chuckled at that. "Best pilot in the Empire, they called me. Had a special TIE Fighter and everything," Luke explained easily. "Time to put that to the test," Leia laughed.

From outside she could hear the Falcon's engine start up, and Leia let out a sigh. They were safe. "There's the X-Wings! Let's go!" Sarah pointed straight ahead, and the three of them made a mad dash for them. Leia skidded to a stop and climbed inside, flicking switches and pressing buttons to get the fighter started. When she knew that everything was alright, she slipped on her headset, and began to fly out of the hangar.

The first thing she saw was the squadron of TIE Fighters that were firing at the villa. Her worries consumed her, how could the four of them possibly manage all of this? The two other X-wings roared to life behind her, and soon enough Sarah was flying beside her, and Luke was soaring past them.

Leia was momentarily frozen as she watched her brother perform many different spins and evasive maneuvers, while also taking down a couple of the TIE Fighters. She was soon snapped out of it though as she saw her scanners light up, notifying her that she had multiple fighters on her tail. "Artoo! Evasive maneu- ah blast it! He's with Father!" Leia huffed in annoyance, and tried to move out of it's targeting path. "I've got you!" Sarah went behind the TIE Fighter and shot it down. "Thank you.." Leia sighed.

Although she could have expressed more gratitude, now while they were fighting for their lives was not the best time to do so. Sarah pressed down on the trigger multiple times, bringing down only a few of the fighters. It seemed as soon as they were being taken down, another fighter took it's place. She looked out of the side of her view port for a moment, and she made eye contact with Han, who was manning the gun turret on the Falcon.

Han grinned at her, and then turned to fire at a fighter, taking it down. "Just like the good old days, huh Princess?" Han said through the comm system, and Leia could picture the smirk on his. "You know, sometimes I wonder what you and Chewie were up to that day we ran into you both for the first time. A strange seventeen year old creeping through the woods. What was all that about?" Leia laughed, reminded of the day she met the 'scruffy looking nerf herder'.

"Kiss later, fight now," Luke chastised them, and Leia knew he was right. After a few more fatal shots they were nearing the end of the battle, until Leia was hit. "Going down!" she shouted as her X-wing plummeted towards the soft green grass.

Heat engulfed Leia, but she was quick to move. She opened the hatch that would be her form of escape, and climbed out. As she rolled off of the X-wing and landed in the grass, her fighter exploded, the flames singing her. If she hadn't got out before she did...well, let's not think about that.

She felt Luke and Sarah's worry hit her like a tidal wave. In haste, she sent them back reassuring feelings, and stood up to run. There were a few storm troopers on the ground, along with a man in sith robes and a helmet. Kylo Ren. She looked away from him and towards a Stormtrooper who was holding a grenade. Leia watched in horror as he threw the grenade into her parents bedroom, where her family was. "NO!" She screamed as she saw it explode. Her parents...her son...
