"Nick!" I screamed as I opened the door of my hotel room.
I ran into his arms and pulled him into a warm hug that seemed to last hours.
I lead him into the hotel room and let him take a seat on my bed.
He threw his shoes off across the room, and leaned down to plant a kiss on my cheek. With all the excitement, I completely had forgotten about Jenna.
Jenna cleared her throat attempting to catch some attention. She was sitting on her own bed just a few feet away.
"Oh my gosh I forgot! Nick, this is my roommate, Jenna."
The two waved at each other mumbling a quick "Hi".
I hadn't stopped going on about Nick for the past weeks, so Jenna already knew who he was...
Nick and I continued chatting, but Jenna had gone to hang with Linny for a few hours before we had rehearsal.
For our time alone, Nick basically told me what I was missing at school. Ms Carter keeps bragging that she's a miracle worker because of me.
The hours soon passed and I had to go down the street for rehearsal.
"Hello contestants!" Yelled the producer from the stage. We had all been sitting in the crowd's seats. The perspective of performing from watching are completely different.
"Your task this week is to perform your favorite song of this year. Your list is up here, and have the song ready to perform by Wednesday. You will meet with mentors on Tuesday. Good luck!"
With that, a stampede of about ten other contestants ran to the stage to check out the list of song choices.
I decided on Here's To Never Growing Up by Avril Lavigne.
I went to my favorite spot to rehearse, the corner near the bathrooms. I practiced there the first week, and It's peaceful and quiet.
I saw Jenna walk outside, and I assumed she would practice there.
I just ran through the song a few times. I never practice too much the first day. It's only Friday, so I have five days until I need it performed...
On national television.
After signing out from rehearsal, I walked down the street to a Panera Bread Cafe to fetch some lunch.
I ordered a strawberry muffin, small fountain drink, and a bowl of chicken soup. It was four, and I hadn't had lunch yet. God am I hungry. I sat down at a table for one, and pulled my laptop out of my bag.
I scrolled through Twitter looking at my mentions, and finally caved in and made a Tumblr.
I followed some blogs, read some tweets, and enjoyed my meal. I was texting Linny for a bit, but she soon had to go. Her boyfriend, Jonah, is also visiting, and he had just arrived.
After running a few errands and chatting with Linny in her room, I glanced at my watch to see it was already 5:30. I had a reservation for dinner with Nick at seven. Shit!
I waved goodbye to Linny and her boyfriend, and ran down the hall to my own room.
I pushed my room key into the lock thingy on the front door to hear a bed creaking.
I stepped closer to the bed to see something I never wished to see.
Nick was naked. On top of some girl. In bed. Making out.
"Nick! What the hell is wrong with you? I come home to see you in bed with this slut?" I screamed at him.
He rolled over. A shocked look on his face. After he shifted his weight, I saw who the girl was.
"Jenna?" I gasped. "You. Fucking. Slut."
I ran towards her knocking her to the ground.
"Get out. Both of you." I pointed to the door.
Nick pulled on his shorts and shirt and ran out, while Jenna stood up and creeped towards me.
"Ally. This is my room too. You get out, bitch."
"Oh I'm the bitch? Says the girl who was just fucking her roommate's boyfriend!" I screamed in her face.
With that, I grabbed my bag and ran down the hall, kicking Nick in the shin on my way out.
I ran from the hotel, with my bag in my arms, and I called the only person I knew to call.
Brie.
Within forty five minutes, we were sitting in Starbucks eating chocolate cake together.
"Babe, what happened?" She asked rubbing my back.
I was no longer angry, but sad. Sad that my boyfriend, my first love, had cheated on me with my roommate, when he was coming to visit me.
I explaned the wholee fiasco to her. From start to finish. It's seven, and instead of dining with Nick, I'm crying at a cafe.
Brie worked her magic and cheered me up again. Sure, I'm still furious at Nick and Jenna and dont intend on speaking to neither of them again, but Brie can always make the best of the situation.
The Starbucks soon closed, and brie and I went back to the hotel where I should be staying.
We stood outside the hotel saying our goodbyes. I honestly hope this is the last time I see her for a while.
Not because I don't like seeing her, because I'm going to win this.
I'm going to win for Nick. Not so he wants me back, so he sees he shouldn't have given me up.
I stepped into the lobby after one final goodbye hug from Brie, and went up to the floor where the contestants are staying.
I walked past my room. I nearly stopped in thinking I'm staying there, but quickly remembered not to.
I passed a few more doors and knocked on Linny's door. She pulled it open welcoming me in.
I again explained everything to her.
"I knew it. I always thought Jenna had a bit of a bitch in her. Stay here. Don't go back to the slut." Linny said.
I thanked her a million times, and unpacked my bag into a small drawer. I still was upset about everything. Its just great that I have to perform in about five days...
